I worked at Kantar Retail full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great, vibrant and intelligent people. Analysts are hard working and dedicated. Developers were smart and under appreciated. Pay and benefits were moderate.

    Cons

C Level execs range from good to incompetent to just plain ambiguous. Consultant's egos were tricky sometimes - But most were smart and hard working. Didn't value the part of the organization that was behind the scenes.

    Advice to Management

You are top heavy with C Level for such a small company. Look at the financials and see who could be cut from the payroll - and you still wouldn't miss a beat.

I have been working at Kantar Retail full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

close to public transportation and shopping

    Cons

An over-all inability of leaders to recognise employee disengagement, while they constantly reference a great company culture that doesn't exist. This kind of "leadership" creates a dead-end and hopelessly mediocre performance level, where you can only be a good as your manager ... and that isn't that good.

    Advice to Management

Learn to see beyond yourselves. Excellence come from hiring good people and letting them do what they do best. Stop over-selling recruiting.

I have been working at Kantar Retail full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Variety of clients is pretty diverse, and each person takes on a fair amount of responsibility pretty quickly. Usually not boring work.

    Cons

If you work here, expect to be completely over worked and underpaid. Most people leave after two to three years for that exact reason. Analysts sometimes have to work until three am to get the work done. As people leave, they don't always replace them, putting even more strain on those left. Current head of company is completely out of touch- it seems like all he cares about is the money, NOT the people.

    Advice to Management

If you expect people to stay, work harder to maintain a work life balance for your employees. Pay should match the workload. Hire replacements as soon as people leave. Your people are your greatest asset- you should treat them that way, otherwise the flood of people that leave every summer will only get worse.
