I worked at Kantar full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good atmosphere, company friendly, winner of best place work in Hampton Roads 2 years in a row.

    Cons

Management can be slow to fix important issues.

    Advice to Management

Get some insight from the staff before actually performing the job before implementing new work processes and procedures.

    Pros

The company provides parties throughout the year. Thirsty Thursday's are every other Thursday and they bring in beer, wine, and snacks.

    Cons

The salaries paid are way below market averages. For a company of it's size and being part of a world wide company (WPP) there is NO employee handbook. I was told that after 2 years I would get another week of PTO, and when the 2 years arrived, I was told that no one ever gets any additional PTO. You are expected to work very long hours for very little.

    Advice to Management

Try being honest with the employees, and follow through with promises.

I have been working at Kantar full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Kantar really cares about is employees, and has lots of programs to ensure their needs are met. They also have a great work/life balance - and people are nice to each other. It is not a "high stress" environment, but there is still a strong push for great results.

    Cons

Not really a con for everybody, but this is no startup. This is a large multi-billion dollar organization, and has large-company ways of working. Do not expect the same vibe as a startup...

I have been working at Kantar (Less than a year)

    Pros

I currently work in the Lisle, IL office for Kantar and this is, without a doubt, one of the best places I have ever worked in my life. I am surrounded by kind, friendly co-workers who go the extra mile to help one another. Bosses/management don't hide in their offices or cubes - they are very approachable and value your contribution. Hardly any employee turnover, unless they are moving to another division within the company. There is a great work/life balance, the pay is terrific and the office location is great for my daily commute!

    Cons

Nothing comes to mind at this time.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!!

I worked at Kantar (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people to work with. Interesting technology. The advertising business is changing rapidly which necessitates more investment in software which is great if you are in the profession.

    Cons

The drive to downtown can be overly long in Austin. The traffic will backup unexpectedly and delay the morning or evening commute.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and continue focus on employee satisfaction and automation - its the key to future productivity and profitability.
