I have been working at Kantar full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Kantar really cares about is employees, and has lots of programs to ensure their needs are met. They also have a great work/life balance - and people are nice to each other. It is not a "high stress" environment, but there is still a strong push for great results.

    Cons

Not really a con for everybody, but this is no startup. This is a large multi-billion dollar organization, and has large-company ways of working. Do not expect the same vibe as a startup...

I have been working at Kantar (Less than a year)

    Pros

I currently work in the Lisle, IL office for Kantar and this is, without a doubt, one of the best places I have ever worked in my life. I am surrounded by kind, friendly co-workers who go the extra mile to help one another. Bosses/management don't hide in their offices or cubes - they are very approachable and value your contribution. Hardly any employee turnover, unless they are moving to another division within the company. There is a great work/life balance, the pay is terrific and the office location is great for my daily commute!

    Cons

Nothing comes to mind at this time.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!!

I worked at Kantar (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people to work with. Interesting technology. The advertising business is changing rapidly which necessitates more investment in software which is great if you are in the profession.

    Cons

The drive to downtown can be overly long in Austin. The traffic will backup unexpectedly and delay the morning or evening commute.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and continue focus on employee satisfaction and automation - its the key to future productivity and profitability.

I worked at Kantar full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people and a good work environment. Time off is generous. Work life balance is good. Flexible hours. People tend to stay at Kantar for a good long time.

    Cons

Constantly reorganizing. Growth by acquisition leaves little room for job growth and plenty of redundant employees. Health benefits have declined. No real bonus for positions below vp.

    Advice to Management

Find a direction and stick with it

    Pros

Was surrounded by many other talented IT professionals.

    Cons

I have been working at Kantar full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Growing, dynamic, international, holding company environment. Leadership has strategic vision for continued growth and excellence. Friendly, partnering coworkers. Always opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Pace of change can be a bit to keep up with. Highly leveraged work force. No other comment on any 'cons' of working at Kantar.

    Advice to Management

Be careful not to over-leverage the work force any further. Knowledge workers need time to think and can't be executing at high speed all day long if quality decisions are to be made.

I worked at Kantar (More than a year)

    Pros

Coffee always available. Flex schedules, lots of PTO, decent health insurance, fun and motivated people to work with and from.

    Cons

The pay is terrible no matter how long you've worked there, time tracking is everywhere, they want you to think you're part of the family until they fire you without any bad work reports. Extremely repetitive jobs with little chance of change. What you learn there, work skills wise, is not applicable anywhere else.

    Advice to Management

Don't pretend the employees are family, stop acting like the Gestapo micromanaging people, share some real profits with this part of the company or you won't keep good people.
