Pros
My time at Kaplan International has been an incredible journey filled with growth, camaraderie, and the enjoyment of seeing people worldwide connect. That is an extraordinary thing to witness week after week from when they enter on Monday orientation to the caps and gowns they put on every Friday. These students come to the school hoping to learn and grow, and they do, and I love witnessing that.

The workload for managers becomes overwhelming in larger markets.

Pros
I learned a lot about teaching ESL and gained confidence a long the way here. The smartboards and technology were top of the line.
Cons
Branching into the admin side of the company, I saw the Kaplan for what it truly was—a corporation that's main concern is closing sales with potential students and little care about the employees. Kaplan seems to keep their teachers around as long as they are competent, but admin roles dropped like flies as they were budget cutting. I was there from 2016-2019 and saw at least 7 employees seemingly sacked for no reason.
