Pros
Limited flexibility, I have to have five words here - but that's all I got.
Cons
They way they track time is awful! You have a certain amount of time to judge information, say from 5-15 minutes, if you go over that time. You DON'T get paid for it. At all. Then your time tracking starts on the new judging page. For example: if I have 15 minutes to judge 3 items (with review comments on why) and I go over- that whole 15 minutes doesn't count towards your 8hr day. Then if they ask for feedback, which they do a lot, you don't get paid for that either. Also, beware of them asking you to do continued training on Skype, it is also unpaid. Unless you are great at working and training you are great at working and training you are great at working and training simultaneously, while not going overtime on your judging. Makes it really hard to get in an 8 hour day, especially for someone who needs to be home as well and helping their children. Or just to get up, generally for any reason. Also, don't have any problems, there is no real management (or HR) that you are able to get a hold of as an entry employee. Only leads, and as nice as they are - they can't help.
Continue readingThank you for taking the time to share your concerns. Quality and consistency are crucial in this line of work; therefore, if it takes more time to complete the work than the time allotted, the quality and consistency suffer, clients are then affected, and the ripple effect of that could result in a decrease in business or projects which then means a loss of project work for our valued contracting staff. Also, we apologize that you feel as though there was no management or HR to address your questions. During the readiness phase, HR and Management resources are mentioned numerous times and their contact information is provided to you on your readiness documentation. Again, we thank you for your feedback and the team as a whole will take time to review this feedback. We wish you all the best in the future!

Pros
- Working from home - Making your own schedule - Not having to interact with customers
Cons
- Incredibly unorganized. Because everyone is on their own schedule it can take forever to get a response from a lead if you have questions. Don't even message HR, they just leave you on read. - If you run out of projects, theyll tell you it wont go against your min hour requirement as though its in any way reassuring, I have bills to pay!! - Unpaid training and unpaid calls.

Thank you for your comments regarding KarmaHub. We appreciate your honesty in order to change, address, and be aware of how our contractors feel. First, let me say thank you for being apart of our team for so long! We're happy to have you. We're sorry for these negative experiences you've enured and we hear your concerns. Although there are many advantages of working on a team with several time zones we do understand the frustration of response times and we are actively working on this. Thank you for your thoughts.

Decent Contract Job with Unorganized Processes
Jun 7, 2019 - AnalystRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Note to readers, most of the 4 or 5 star reviews you see on this page are from Project Leads. Being a lead is very different than being an analyst. Decent contract work from home opportunity for additional side income.
Cons
If you are a person who needs organization and structure to do well on a job, this may not be the company for you. - Communication is disorganized, and you can suddenly be 'disabled' from their system without warning unable to earn income. - All training and practice for new work projects is unpaid. You are expected to show up for conference calls, read long manuals, and do practice exercises without any form of compensation. Projects are taken off and added all the time, so this adds up. - Some months /weeks there is a lot of work, and some months there is little work, yet you are expected to dedicate the same amount of daily time in your schedule and keep Karmahub a priority. However, contractors are not treated like a priority and are very disposable.

- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Remote work, the only positive thing!
Cons
No Benefits, W2 employee, below average wages, terrible communication between departments. New employee receive unclear role expectations and training material, they give you an unrealistic time frame to learn in the role and excel in it. There is no room for growth and not much opportunity to learn from your mistakes. You are better off doing freelance work than work for them.

Human Resources Team Lead
Thank you for your feedback. We currently do not have any W2 employees here; therefore, as an independent contractor, there wouldn't be benefits offered. We do allow ample time to learn the project and in many cases, more than one opportunity to excel in the project. We wish you all the best.

Pros
I have worked for this company for two years before they removed the Canadian marketplace workers. The best part of it was the flexibility of the hours.
Cons
The communication between HR and you would take forever. There were periods where it would take weeks to get work, and when they would be released, the hits would all be taken. If you did poorly in these projects, they would send you to do a lot of unpaid training.

remote work. thats all folks
Cons
40+ hrs of unpaid training thats regulated like a 9-5. to then get underpaid with their scam time clock that undercounts hours. it's a mess. i shoulda listened to the warnings on here lol. Demands of a salaried full time + oT job with the pay of a paper route.

Perfect job for my lifestyle & personality
Jun 16, 2019 - Internet Analyst in Davie, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I'm the type of person that would rather not talk to customers in person or over the phone so this job is perfect for me :) . All my co-workers are professional and we take our jobs seriously but we also have a lot of fun when communicating with one another and that's what makes this job beautiful. It feels like a big family. In case you were wondering, you won't ever have to show your face on webcam, all communication is through text chat and when you have meetings your leads will speak over a mic. The projects I've been assigned to are enjoyable, I genuinely like working on them. At first, depending on what you've been assigned, some of your projects might be complicated, but once you get the hang of it it's smooth sailing from there on and they'll become like 2nd nature to you. I love that i can start work everyday having a strong grasp on what I'm supposed to do. The leads (the workers who help the Internet Analysts) are eager to assist you and will answer any questions you have! The hours are so flexible. It's sooo cool because you can take breaks and run errands whenever you want. The work hours are anywhere from 6:00 AM in your time zone to 11:00 PM in your time zone. Make sure you have a minimum of 8 hours completed in between those hours to complete your shift. You can work 10 hours or more if you want (speak to a lead to confirm extra work hours).
Cons
Training for most projects are not paid for. There are exceptions though, like if it is a more complex project they will pay you for training. I've been paid for training on multiple occasions and it was so worth it! You are an independent contractor (1099) and will have to take care of taxes on your own.
