I worked at Kastle Systems (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Market dominance in the region allows access to high level clients
-Constantly innovating and thinking to the future for products and services
-The service that is provided is a necessary one and adds great value from a security standpoint in a world where security is becoming a top priority everyday

    Cons

-Too much older technology that causes issues with new systems trying to be implemented
-Senior leadership does not value customer service staff and micro manages heavily
-Pay and benefits are well below average for the region, especially for the amount of work required
-Zero flexibility for work schedule does not line up with today's work life balance mentality
-Constant internal struggle between departments, causing strained relationships and behind the scenes gossiping even at the executive level which seems like something that they should be above
-Bonuses are impossible to obtain and management probably knows that but is unwilling to change so they aren't forced to pay out deserving employees

    Advice to Management

Overhaul management, you need people that lead and garner respect from the employees, find ways to upgrade support infrastructure to allow flexibility and work life balance, change the bonus structure so people can be rewarded for their hard work especially if leadership stays the same so that there is at least some pay off for what employees have to deal with internally.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    - if you need a job

    Cons

-employees aren't appreciated, the company has the attitude that everyone is replaceable
    -bad benefits
    -low pay
    -poor leadership in managers

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like your employees aren't important, offer more opportunity for advancement and offer more challenges! Give people a reason to WANT to stay. If you haven't noticed, nobody wants to stay at Kastle, they're just there because they don't have a better option--yet.

    Pros

They do a good job of hiring tallented people into their client services department.

    Cons

They do a really terrible job of retaining employees. There is less opportunity for advancement within the company than they let on. They micro-manage their employees.

    Pros

-Leadership knows what products to put money into

    Cons

    -Execution of everything
    -Pay
-Stated goals and the path to get to them are widely disparate

    Advice to Management

    1) USE MONETARY INCENTIVES TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS!!! Your current business model encourages working just hard enough that you don't get fired.
    2) Your stated goal is to be a "Top 50" company to work for. However you offer no 401k matching, no true bonus, quietly removed your education assistance program, require a 3 year commitment to receive a promotion, and expect college educated employees to work for 12/hr in the call center or 15-16/hr in client services.
