    Pros

They let you have a personal life
They will leave you alone for the most part
Tolerable if you can overlook the ridiculousness of the place

    Cons

    Rampant culture of lying
Weak management that wings it and overestimates their intelligence and knowledge
    Poor compensation
No one in the firm respects the management team (and for good reasons)
Firm is cheap, hesitant to pay for senior people to attend events or get resources
Difficulty getting reimbursed for travel and entertainment expenses

    Advice to Management

    Tell the truth
Hire executives who know what they are doing
    You know nothing

    Pros

If there are no other jobs out there, hang at this bucket shop till the market recovers

    Cons

    Reputation of firm is poor
    Senior management is very untrustworthy
Senior management is incompetent and lacks basic knowledge about the brokerage industry
Little or no resources in terms of junior supporting personnel (associates) or information services (no factset, no access to other firms' research)
There is pressure to break brokerage regulations as lax Chinese walls often result in research analysts getting pressured to write on desperate companies running out of money
Institutional sales is dominated by a few personalities, one of which acts immature and unprofessional
High overhead and tendency to keep unproductive employees (like senior management and management's father) lead to poor compensation payouts

    Advice to Management

    Retire
    Act professional
    Act mature
    Enforce compliance rules
    Stop lying
    Learn about the industry

    Pros

They do have a large base of small and mid-tier Hedge Funds

    Cons

The Kaufman Bros - that and how it is perceived on you resume

    Advice to Management

Bring in outside management to focus on a niche that you can stick with. Strategy can often be all over the place with serious negative consequences

    Pros

The company is small so it is easy to get to know everyone. The company has a good reputation in the marketplace as far as I can tell.

    Cons

The small platform limits the number of products the company can offer. The staff turnover is a problem for building success.

    Advice to Management

Try to grow the platform in order to offer more products. Try to reduce employee turnover. Both of these actions should help the firm.
