    Pros

The company really encourages team work & collaboration. It invites new ideas and wants you to challenge the status quo. You are encouraged to innovate and follow your ideas through. You get to work with smart people, so you learn something new almost everyday. Some additional benefits: - Free breakfast/lunch/dinner (if you stay late) - Work from home (as many as you want) - Macbooks & Apple Thunderbolts... for everyone - Use of latest technologies & tools - You get to learn writing high quality code for the product. - No cabin culture. CEO will sit beside you and will code along with you.

    I worked at Kayako full-time

    Pros

Friendly work environment. One gets flexibility to learn through variety of resources. Monthly team outings to develop better understanding between team members. Kayakers work hard and party harder. Higher management team members including the CEO are quite approachable and are just a click away. Employee hierarchy is there but everyone is considered equally important and works at same level. Healthy meals... and refreshments are one of the ways, the management takes good care of their team members with.

    Cons

Nothing specific. Company has in fact expanded its client base so I'm sure the pay and perks would have become much better than before.

    Advice to Management

    Great going...keep it up:)

    Pros

There are lot of thing makes Kayako a great place to work. Few of those are : - Wide variety of opportunities are given to you everyday. - Ideas are always welcomed. - Culture never hesitates to add a new piece in place. - Even if you fail, there is another chance, better way to do things. - Lot of good habits eg. Varun (CEO), Kashif (DOE) both loves books and focuses on health in there daily routine,... and they are never shy to share. - There is never a free lunch, but in Kayako lunches are on the office :) - Library has technical + non-technical books. - No time bond office hours. - Unlimited leaves. - Work from anywhere in the world, no boundaries.

    I worked at Kayako

    Pros

    - Free (unhealthy) meals - some refreshments - work from home

    Cons

    - Short sighted management - the CEO is a drop out and he thinks and acts like one - no real value offered in the product - trying to ape anything and everything fancy in the market/ industry - aimless product development devoid of a vision - blind to the shortcomings of the product and blames the sales team - if people question the status quo - they are fired. - they insult employees, practice... favouritism - your achievements are not celebrated

    Advice to Management

You need to grow up and you need to wake up and take notice. Stop being so insecure. You cant beat Zendesk, not even Freshwork's. You had a great product and you should have tried to make it better not something new. I say so because with the way you fire people, you will never e enough resources to develop anything.

    Pros

Good work life balance Unlimited leaves Pantry full of stock/eatables Good work culture

    Cons

You can be fired at any time Management never listens to your opinions CEO doesn't have sense to speak with staff Game is all about numbers, when sales figures are down, your adorable TL will give your name to be fired for balancing sales figured.

    Advice to Management

There must be process transparency If employees are at security risk, no one can work with perfection

I worked at Kayako full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great work life balance. Well stocked pantry Unlimited Leaves Fair compensation

    Cons

Enter at your own risk. Last year company had fired 33 employees without a single day notice. This was the second time it has happened in the history of Kayako & it's normal for them to do it.

    Advice to Management

Take action even when things are right. Don't wait for the worse to happen & then put the blame on your team.

    I worked at Kayako

    Pros

Free food, few of the best engineers in india, homely office, good starting compensation, Awesome office location, work from home.

    Cons

All the above pros go down the drain because they missed on some core cultural values. Well where to start :- - You will work tirelessly for years only to hear that you have skill problems, in your appraisal meeting. Which apparently they didn't saw for 3-4 years. - One fine day, half of the company will be gone(fired), which doesn't even shock anyone anymore. - You will never feel respected for what you do. -... Unnecessary pressure is built up. - Then of course their are some favourites, who will get the royal treatment, while others get scolded. - They usually scold people who left them on the floor for bad code and stuff, which might be true or false, but that sounds really bad and gives a negative character of the company.
