Pros

They have great benefits!! Great employee's.

Cons

Very negitive working envirment. Non competitive pricing, No one that I have spoken to for this company was happy in their job. You are driven like cattle and verbally punished when you do not meet their expectations. Though this company is very successful, it is run like a mom and pop company.

Pros

Base pay was ok… of course you are there to increase sales and make more than base pay…

Cons

Increased sales through our branch by more than 30%… looking forward to nice bonus… released from employment with no explanation prior to year end. Therefore all the hard work was for nothing. I’m sure this is not isolated…!!! Part of their DNA

A company where motivation goes to die

Pros

Not tied to an office all day.

Cons

*Zero support from management, only negative, condescending feedback. *Ownership/Upper Management takes no suggestions from anyone on ways to make branches more efficient which in turn will increase sales. *You’re preached to about being a family owned debt free company with a brother, sister and brothers boy being so reachable and easy to work with, when in reality it’s run worse than the most greedily operated corporation, only unlike a corporation, there’s no checks and balances as far as stockholders or a board to right the ship. Kaycan is a complete dictatorship and ownership almost seems to relish this aspect, which is appalling. *A very ‘70’s management style of bash, beat down, belittle and bully to take the drive and motivation out of employees. *Sales managers have absolutely NO on the spot decision making abilities and have to what on responses from ownership, which could be 10 minutes, 10 hours, 10 days or never, and can kill potential deals. *Commission structure is nothing more than a setup for failure. It’s purposely convoluted and confusing so you eventually don’t even question it, and are made to feel that you should feel thankful for being underpaid per industry average, and enjoy being talked down to by the almighty ownership. *Turnover is ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING!!! The region I was in consisted of five branches, so five of my positions and a regional manager. In the little over four years I was with them, there were 16, that’s not a misprint SIXTEEN people that were in those six rolls. Five were fired and the other 11 found actual careers, not just a stop gap minor league job like this dumpster fire is. This review may seem like sour grapes, but it’s truly not, as I’m just trying to warn potential applicants to this company to beware of the pit of hatred and distain the powers that be of this outfit have for their employees that grind day in and day out making them 100’s of millions of dollars while they pay far far far below industry average for the positions.
