    Advice to Management

Better recognize key talent or kiss it goodbye when the econony improves.

    Pros

Wide range of benefits (but some of the premiums are higher than other companies)
    Great Parking
A chance to work in a larger company environment

    Cons

This company is very chaotic and disorganized. It still functions like a bunch of smaller companies. They are very reactive and fail to plan ahead.
Pay raises are a joke and they are constantly trying to send as many jobs to India as possible. Between the high turnover and layoffs, a lot of important processes have fallen through the cracks. Employees are not treated as a valuable asset. There is really no incentive to work hard because only the higher ups will get a raise, bonus or promotion. They will still expect you to work way more than a 40 hr work week. Kiss your nights and weekends goodbye.

    Advice to Management

You should value your employees more. You would be more successful with a happy & dedicated workforce.

    Pros

Good size global organization with a variety of opportunities to advance or change jobs if your current position is not a good fit.

    Cons

Lack of focus on the long term and an apparent inability to stick with a decision. While I recognize circumstances change, the management team continued to change on decisions and go back and forth which impacted divisions to progress and instilled a lack of confidence in management.

    Advice to Management

The leadership team is relatively new at Keane (less than 2 years) and while they appear to be very smart, I would encourage them to get on the same page with the company vision and mission so that those working for them have a clear plan to execute against.

    Pros

We had a large series of strategic projects for a well-known financial services company. These were challenging and I am proud of the work we did. The system we designed was (eventually) successfully implemented.

I worked for a small group that had some very talented people in it (who were brought in from a small shop).

The culture of our group was very friendly and collegial.

I was happy with the pay.

    Cons

After the acquisition by Caritor almost all of my colleagues left. The office was literally half-empty.

The company seemed to be desperately going after new business, trying to drive up revenue. There seemed to be nothing of value left for me to do there, so as soon as I found an attractive exit, I took it.

    Advice to Management

Focus on value to clients rather than chasing billable hours.

    Pros

Nice and professional co workers for the most part
    Decent salary & benefits
    Structured hours, no overtime required

    Cons

    Lousy communication from my manager
Manager not interested in what I ws doing, zero recognition
Zero career growth, zero learning opportunities, zero hope for promotion
Company is downsizing - losing floors - depressing environment
Witness lots of stress and grumbling, esp. from long time employees

    Advice to Management

Don't take your lower level employess for granted
A little attention can go along way

  9. "Decent company, my experience was good, but not so much for others...can be much better"

    Pros

    - I had the privilege of working with some great managers
    - Promoted personal and career growth
    -

    Cons

    - with the new indian management the policies have changed
    - not so open any more
    - communication with the consultants onsite is weak

    Advice to Management

Please reinstitute some of the old policies and practices to bind with the employees and make them feel a part of the company. No appraisals, no town halls etc doesnt go along well with the employees

-great vision for the non-near term future
    -no micromanagement
-complex issues as company is evolving
-as company is rebuilding, exposure to various issues

    -no performance feedback
    -management too self-interested
    -horrible benefits
-too much focus on trying to make off-shore staff happy, no attention to US based staff

    Advice to Management

-improve benefits for corporate staff - to be inline with client facing staff
-become a bit more horizontal - seek out advice from lower level staff
-ditch the EIP plan, pathetic attempt to reward the staff - poorly executed
-develop some sort of mentoring - career growth program
