I have been working at Keane (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some good experience if you are new to the industry. Some engagements are better than others.

    Cons

    Yearly raises don't happen
    HR is unresponsive
Little or no direction for training
    No career advancement
Some engagements treat consultants like second class citizens
Some engagements expect you to work overtime with no pay.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to start treating employees like people. Little or no care is taken to engage employees day to day.

I have been working at Keane full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Unfortunately, this list is decreasing by the day, but lets try - yes, Global company with varied opportunities. Reasonable policies and benefits. Good Opportunities and very friendly co-workers.

    Cons

The strategy for growth which is primarily acquisition does not seem to work . All the good consultants leave as they do not want to handle big company bueracracy. Primarily a staffing firm , there are a very few large customer engagements with managed services and this situation does not seem to improve inspite of the numerous acquisitions. The entire support organization like Finance and HR are a joke and sure shot opportunities for outsourcing.

    Advice to Management

Please, invest in training and retrain/reposition people who do not add value to the organization at director and above levels. There are plenty of them who are unable to contribute in the next gen services model ( Cloud). Seriously, stop going on and on abt gamification. ADM is a lot more complex than just socially .

I worked at Keane full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay was OK, and I was at a client site I loved. And the Keane PM methodology has stuck with me thru my career.

    Cons

Being at a client site, I had almost zero interaction with Keane management. No appraisals, just a slight annual raise, There was also a strong bias toward replacing expensive American workers with "in-sourcing" indian workers on rotations.

I worked at Keane full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Can't really think of any pros for working for them.

    Cons

You are locked in to whatever technology you work with when you start with them. They will not put you on a contract with a customer unless you have at least 5 years experience. If the technology you have experience with dies, you can't move to another technology unless you have 5+ years experience, even if you have a certification.

    Advice to Management

Need to treat their employees better!

    Pros

Wide range of benefits (but some of the premiums are higher than other companies)
    Great Parking
A chance to work in a larger company environment

    Cons

This company is very chaotic and disorganized. It still functions like a bunch of smaller companies. They are very reactive and fail to plan ahead.
Pay raises are a joke and they are constantly trying to send as many jobs to India as possible. Between the high turnover and layoffs, a lot of important processes have fallen through the cracks. Employees are not treated as a valuable asset. There is really no incentive to work hard because only the higher ups will get a raise, bonus or promotion. They will still expect you to work way more than a 40 hr work week. Kiss your nights and weekends goodbye.

    Advice to Management

You should value your employees more. You would be more successful with a happy & dedicated workforce.
