I worked at Keane full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They recruited me out of the blue and gave me a huge raise. Meetings on-site were informative.

    Cons

I was unable to be placed in further employment after three years with Keane unless I wished to uproot my family and move several hours' drive away.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to seek out non-federal government contracts to expand your employment portfolio, and to not be so dependent on one large contract.

    Pros

Opportunities will challenege someone who is looking to step out and make a difference. Its feels like working for a start up within the umbrella of big company.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

I worked at Keane full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Keane was a company that evolved continuously from its post-Y2K days into subsequent acquisitions. Each day was a lot of work, but the end-game of the multi-year efforts to evolve clearly paid off.

    Cons

Walking the fine line between investing in innovation vs. driving quarterly results

    Advice to Management

Keep your voice in the post-NTT rollup world

I worked at Keane full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Keane's a business process outsourcing company, as such there's considerable opportunity for international contact. While you learn to work with the local people you're on a team with you're interfacing with people halfway around the world and meeting with businesses in the states to match the needs of one with the capabilities of the other. It is not boring work.

    Cons

Outsourcing does mean travel. If you're not ok with travel you'll have a hard time working for Keane however if you don't mind there are more than enough upsides to outshine any potential downsides.

    Pros

I see a clear vision, seeing good progress in definition and growth since acquisition, very positive and solid future for them. My experiences with senior executives on down to consultants has been very positive. They have brought in many good people to balance out what they had to offer before -- any good company grows and evolves in this way and Keane is no different. The change was difficult in the beginning, but I see light at the end of the tunnel and already have personally experienced us reaping the benefits of good leadership. I think for many who are on the client site every day and don't have exposure to certain things, this may be difficult to see, but solid progress has been made and continues. I've worked for many consulting companies, including the big 4, and in comparison I am very happy with my experiences at Keane.

    Cons

None that I have experienced. Maybe I have been with too many companies, but all organizations have something you can complain about. This is a good solid company trying to do the right thing for employees and clients.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving forward. I think leadership is doing the right things. Just keep communication lines open.
