    Pros

OK Salary and benefits. It rally depends on your manager. My direct manager only contacts me when necessary. Other managers I have worked with are great. Do not expect a pay raise in the future. Leave polidy for emergencies is very good.

    Cons

Long hours depending on the customer. The customer is king and employees come second. Onboarding is missing or inadequate. You choose.

    Advice to Management

Get organized and realize your employees are your most important resource in a IT service industry. Good luck in the future.

    Pros

Talented coworkers. Best part of my position was contributing to proposals where I was bid as a lead project manager (rather than the position I was hired for). I only left since the position I was bid on (which my qualifications WON for Keane) was not awarded in a timely manner. Since I could not afford to be "on the bench" for any duration of time in this economy, I had to make a move. Very similar situation to every government contracting company. Always looking for "follow on" work.

    Cons

In my specific contract, essentially we were paid (quite a bit) for just showing up. It is here that I learned after 17 years of professional work, that government employees cannot be fired; they are just "moved around" to another agency or division if they become problematic. Explains a lot doesn't it?

    Advice to Management

Senior management at the corporate headquarters in McLean for the Federal business seem to not understand the need for contractors to remain employed. Not enough proactive work in finding current employees positions to roll into when a current contract expires.

    Pros

Good size global organization with a variety of opportunities to advance or change jobs if your current position is not a good fit.

    Cons

Lack of focus on the long term and an apparent inability to stick with a decision. While I recognize circumstances change, the management team continued to change on decisions and go back and forth which impacted divisions to progress and instilled a lack of confidence in management.

    Advice to Management

The leadership team is relatively new at Keane (less than 2 years) and while they appear to be very smart, I would encourage them to get on the same page with the company vision and mission so that those working for them have a clear plan to execute against.

    Supportive co-workers.
You can get good pay scale if you have good negoceation skills

    Cons

Poor management. this company was sold 2 times in last 3 years :(
No / small raises once you are in.
Not as good as it use to be 3 years back.
    average pay scale.

    Advice to Management

Need stable management. Keane had really good management at the time of John Kenae. Once it was sold things have been worst!!! Before new new management can hold the company it was sold again!!!

    Pros

Multiple clients. Offshore /Onshore model gives good exposure to working with large teams and handling complex time sensitive issues.

    Cons

Poor Compensation. Long Work hours. No empathy/guidance from senior management towards day to day work assignment or long term career assessment. Rampant nepotism.

    Advice to Management

Given the number of hours employees spent at work at client site, should be better compensated. Should have feedback channel. Higher management should be actively appraised and made sensitive to day to day employees issues and redressal.
