I have been working at Kelley Kronenberg full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

In the past year and a half, this firm has come a long way! The firm owners truly care about making this an amazing place to work, and have implemented many new programs and initiatives to make it happen. This firm cares about the people who work here, and their development. They listen to my ideas and opinions, and care about me on a personal, not just professional, level. This firm is distinguishing itself from others...

    Cons

I am sitting here trying to think of some cons, but I am coming up with nothing. It's still "work" and days are hectic, but I know I am in a place where I can stay and grow.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Even the little things are being noticed and appreciated.

I have been working at Kelley Kronenberg full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Management truly cares for the employees and everyone works as one team. No screamers. Attorneys are very courteous to staff. Company catered Friday breakfast and great benefits. We even have pet insurance!

    Cons

Can't think of any. The firm has done a great job trying to find out what people need/want and have made great strides and enhancements this past year.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I worked at Kelley Kronenberg full-time for more than a year

    Pros

People are nice and management seems to want to head in a direction where they invest in their employees, they just haven't nearly gotten there yet. In all candor, they do provide a nice breakfast on Fridays.

    Cons

When you hire people at minimal salaries and expect them to meet a 210 hour requirement within their first three months, with little or no substantive training, what your going to get back is people inflating their amount of times spent, which I refused to do, or you're going to see high turnover rates in your employment. I fully believe that Kelley Kronenberg suffers from both. Their managing partners must love the...

We are very sad to hear about your negative experience with our firm as we are committed to ensuring an optimal work environment for all of our people. We are not sure where you received this erroneous information, as no associate is required by the firm to meet a 210 hour requirement ...

I have been working at Kelley Kronenberg full-time

    Pros

Great logistical support and case management software. Most practice groups are good about giving their attorneys autonomy and flexibility for their lawyers to practice law.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement are extremely limited; profit and loss partnerships are nearly impossible to attain, and even if you consistently obtain solid results in court, in litigation, or in whatever practice area you work, the firm will not necessarily recognize and elevate you. Your experience will greatly depend upon the practice group in which you work. Some are great, and some are bad. The groups that are...

    Advice to Management

Make profit and loss more attainable. Also, there is a tendency to restrict partnership solely to attorneys that market. There are hard-working, front-line litigators in our firm that do great work. Show them the respect and appreciation they deserve.

We are sorry to hear about your perception that there are no opportunities for growth within the firm. Just this year, a Partner was name Profit and Loss partner and 3 other Partners were assigned units. In addition, a newsletter is sent out monthly to all employees celebrating people ...

    Pros

    Cons

Stress, stress, more stress. Terrible management, they do not care about their employees. They only care about money and billing.

    Pros

None unless you are management or an attorney

    Cons

No appreciation for support staff at all. Only concerned with whether your hours are met and the attorneys are happy.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Direct deposit Family oriented firm.

    Cons

Salary is low for the workload. You have to take your headsets to the restroom, so you do not miss a call. Attorneys want you at your desk at all times. It’s all about BILLING!

    Advice to Management

Need to take care of their legal assistants more and see how the Attorneys abuse them. Poor management.

I worked at Kelley Kronenberg full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, flexible time policies, fun work events. Employees are treated well and left alone provided that they meet requirements. Some of the partners took valuable time out of their day to train new attorneys and clerks, which is a real plus.

    Cons

At the time, all management, tech support, and other functions were out of state in Florida. It was difficult to get a response from these teams at other firm locations. We had to wait months for them to send in maintenance to hang up pictures. Salary was quite low for number of billable hours required, although not unusual within the field. Clients’ extensive billing requirements made meeting billable hours a challenge,...

I worked at Kelley Kronenberg full-time for more than a year

    Pros

None with the exception of a few friendly coworkers.

    Cons

The firm only cares about billing. It is an extremely stressful and at times a hostile work environment if your billing is not as high as management thinks it should be. You will be significantly underpaid and treated like a slave. There is no work/life balance here and you are not valued or appreciated. You cannot take time off as you are still expected to meet your billing requirements and must be available to management...

    Advice to Management

You will continue to have a revolving door until you stop believing that your employees are an expendable resource. The firm has achieved great success but big changes are needed such as higher salaries and equality in order to attract competent and experienced attorneys and staff.
