I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Kellogg attracts some of the brightest and most innovative and hard working professionals...

    Cons

...but it can't keep them because of its complete disregard for the human being that fuel the company. Leadership grinds your life and soul down with unrealistic demands.

    Advice to Management

Remember the concept of the balanced scorecard? Financial performance is only one part of a healthy company.

    Pros

    Coworkers, benefits and some Managers/Leaders.

    Cons

Sr. Leadership of the past 7 years. Cutting costs with short term vision - no long term strategy.

I worked at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People are terrific- I've worked at several Fortune 500 companies, and the people are genuine and sincere.

    Cons

Management is out of touch. A very top-down, old-school controlling approach with a lack of listening.

    Advice to Management

PLEASE ask your employees- those who disagree are punished (because management is afraid to lose their jobs with lack of results), so they just agree because they don't want to leave MI. Hold town halls. Hold focus groups. ASK. LISTEN. Respond. Provide training- there is so little. Employees LOVE this company with their heart and soul- but they don't have a voice. They will give up. They will leave. So many are working long hours (for the wrong reasons) - and that's unsustainable.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Room to grow, globally recognized brand, occasional free product

    Cons

Executive team continues to promote growing the top line, however sales have continued to decline. Cost Cutting, through plant closures, DSD elimination keep Wall Street happy. No job is safe at Kellogg's. Would not recommend.

    Advice to Management

Actually grow the top line instead of just talking about it. Need better innovation.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Pay, benefits and 401k match

    Cons

You basically sold your self to Kelloggs, you can be forced to work 16 hour days on a moment's notice, 7 days a week. Oh, lets not forget about realigning you to a different shift, any way to convience the company from hiring. Might as well forget about the family life. Major lack of compassion for the employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people if you truly want to succeed! Stop lying about everything!
