I worked at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people, K still has several great leaders but a lot of change over the last 5 years. Decent pay.

    Cons

Broadly speaking K is not making food consumers want to buy anymore. Been too slow to adapt to the changing landscape.

    Advice to Management

Step outside the confines of what we normally do. The market is changing too fast and we are too slow to adapt. Decisions need to be made faster. Practice what you preach we are a company that says it's ok to try something new and fail but behind the curtain that's truly not acceptable. Embrace what you preach there.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company and great products. Great work life balance for you and your family. Good time off and benefits. Great company to work for.

    Cons

Technology, awful computers and Internet. Other than that, I do not really have anything bad to say about the company and how they treat their employees.

    Advice to Management

    Clear communication

    Pros

Working alone without having a supervisor over you, and no real time frame to start your work day. Tho starting as early as possible is the best if you have a rural route.

    Cons

Never in my life have I ever heard of a company forcing sales on it's customers as Kelloggs does. It makes life for the RSR and TSR's miserable. Of course this all depends on the route you have and the store managers. But they all get tired of the consistent amounts of overstock that is sent in weekly.

I have been working at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You work unsupervised, flexible hours, you get a company car with fuel card, never in one location for to long.

    Cons

Job security, always changing routes. The company has no faith in its sales force so they force tons of products on to its accounts

    Advice to Management

Have more faith in sales force to do the job they were hired to do or find the right people.

I worked at Kellogg Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I loved the challenge and passion I had for all my accounts and teammates. The benefits and pay were very nice. I loved that I was #1 out of 2 district that hit my annual budget. I had a base salary + bonus and was given a company car for business and personal use. The insurance they carry is great.

    Cons

It was humanly impossible to have work/life balance. I had to work at least 12-18 hours a day due to labor being cut. I had 23 accounts that I could not service every acct. properly. When I went out for surgery and came back with no restrictions, I was terminated. This is were Kellogg lost all my respect. I was dedicated employee that was the #1 sales rep. 90% of my time with this company.

    Advice to Management

They should not let a person is upper management curse at their employee. I had a medical issue come up and I had taken care of, but had taken care of. We are all human and should be treated that way. I was promoted very quickly due to my rapport with all my accounts. I would love to work for a company that appreciates and stands up for an employee that has been so dedicated to them.
