Pros
The company has a core set of principles, that if followed, would create a harmonious and productive work environment. It is taught, but not followed.
Cons
Speaking specifically about my position in the South Business unit, HR was seen as something in the way. Top leadership not only did not support HR but resented its vary presence. Tenure in HR employees for the entire facility is on average less than 1.5 years, because it is a terrible environment to work in. Management's influence on the company is set by what ever # they have received in terms of status. When a #6 level manager, the 2nd most influential manager at the Jackson facility is anti HR, it is very hard to succeed in any initiatives. There is no buy in from upper management. Also, too many decisions made based on ED&I. Merit should count for something.
