    I worked at Kelly-Moore full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

When I first started, it was obvious the company cared about its employees and the benefits were good, holidays were plentiful and the culture was great. The company has only gone downhill since then, which led me to leaving the company. Had you asked me 5 years ago, I would have said this is one of the better jobs you can have. Now, I advise people to stay far away.

    Cons

Every year I was there, corporate looked for more things to take away from the employee. Benefits got worse, corporate stopped caring about the loyal contractors, growth opportunities were halted, bonuses became rare, and long term employees were replaced by cheap replacements. It no longer felt like a family owned business.

    Advice to Management

If you want good employees to stay, treat them better. Quit trying to act like Sherwin-Williams. Quit replacing good, loyal employees with cheap new hires or outside people who know nothing of what the company used to be.

I have been working at Kelly-Moore full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great Learning Opportunity, Great job to build Sales Skills from a very tough Market

    Cons

The Company is headed in a negative direction, also there is little room for growth as far as a pay increase regardless of how good your numbers are! most jobs reward their sales men with bonuses and incentives, Kelly-Moore seems to actually want to take away the pay advances or opportunities when there's a way. Advice would be, do the job, but get out after 2-3 years

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, and hire more people on and for the counter, also do away with the senseless reports that inhibit you from hitting the goals laid out before you.

    I worked at Kelly-Moore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Corporate departments are small so there is room for growth and opportunity

    Cons

Management does not capitalize on employee potential. There is a lot to be said about management training which ironically there is little to none on the corporate side.

I have been working at Kelly-Moore full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits, laid back. We get breaks and a lunch break. That's all I have to say about that.

    Cons

The new management has been harassing some people lately for no reason other than to feel power over them. All they care about is getting finished product done but they don't care at what cost. The company is run like a rusty machine. Employee morale is down and most don't care about doing a good job anymore since they're always feeling like management is out to get them. There is a union but it's barely there, not worth contributing to.

    Advice to Management

Back off the employees a bit and let us do our jobs comfortably. Product will get put out, we're not slaves!

    Pros

Good benefits, paid holidays and time-off, company thoroughly educates employees on products, easy to move-up.

    Cons

Your experience will depend on what store you work at, some are far better than others and all have very different managerial styles.
