I have been working at Kelly Scientific Resources full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Behandelt Menschen wie Menschen und nicht wie Nummern.

I worked at Kelly Scientific Resources full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Access to wide range of employers, particularly government.

    Cons

Kelly is not looking out for you. They will always take the company client's side. If you have problems with the firm/organization that you are placed with or your supervisor, do not go to Kelly. Look for other avenues of redress or leave.

    Advice to Management

Consider that the employee make have legitimate complaints and concerns about the third party employer. Also, consider enhancing your benefits.

    Pros

Good pay, nice benefits, good entry level Job in industry. You get a variety of exposure to industry standards and interworkings of large companies.

    Cons

Almost impossible to get ahold of supervisor, on site supervisor is not there often and comes more to socialize. Management will overwork you and not think twice about it. If the company decides to more than double your work load kelly will not speak up on your behalf and say that you can manage. Expectations on you to arrive early and stay late without financial compensation. And the positions are typically shift work on the DuPont schedule.

    Pros

    flexible hours, work is easy

    Pros

Good way to get a start in the scientific community.

    Cons

Jobs are not what was described in the posting[s]. For example: You will interview for a laboratory technician position that was described as working at a bench performing chemical/biological analysis only to be greeted on day 1 with working at an industrial laboratory with no benches and no relevant (to your field or the position posted online) scientific analysis carried out at any time.

    Advice to Management

Be truthful on what jobs you post. Don't post a laboratory job description listing benches/analysis so employees can be greeted with a $11/hr position that is wasting their time in getting much-needed experience in their field.

I worked at Kelly Scientific Resources full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are in a market with established recruiters and management team you have the ability to grow your income with hard work.

    Cons

Dated thinking, process improvement comes from the top and rarely mirrors the reality of the market. Internal processes are almost always in a state of change slowing down speed to market a great deal making it difficult to compete effectively. I lost alot of business to competitors while we figured out how to recruit for the business I brought in.

    Advice to Management

Ditch the recruiting COE mentality and arm the branches with strong employees that work well together.

I worked at Kelly Scientific Resources full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lovely people at Kelly, greatly enjoyed working with them.

    Cons

Many of the recruiters seem overworked. My recruiter did not know the extent of my responsibilities in the position

    Advice to Management

Lighten the workload of recruiters so they can devote time to check in with the temps occasionally

I have been working at Kelly Scientific Resources (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a contract worker, Kelly Services will help get your foot in the door with companies they have contracts with. This access can possibly lead to full time employment.

    Cons

Contractors are expendable and contracts are not. They offer very little other than the initial access that might otherwise be difficult to attain.

  10. "Tech Review"

    Pros

Exposure to large-scale corporations and quick on-boarding process. Weekly pay, no interaction with job after working hours finished.

    Cons

Red-tape above and beyond what regular employees had to do, not even management knew all details needed. No training for career specific advancement. Will drop you at the soonest sign of friction between contractor and client.
