    Pros

There is a bi-weekly bonus. Although this is an amazing bonus and makes the agency competitive, there is a required write-up policy which takes away a number of bonuses from staff. Thus, causing a hostile environment due to staff being on edge about loosing money from their check.

    Cons

There are aged policies, low moral among staff, no set schedule, and a large disconnect between administration and staff in the group homes. I entered a manager position with no office equipment yet was expected to perform my job with lack of material and adequate training.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff and realize how low the moral is among staff.

I worked at Kelsch associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Money was good, bonuses were also when we did see them. Great set of clients loved working with them developed a great relationship with them over many years

    Cons

The new administration doesn't care about anything other than the money, everything is about money me cutting corners. Everything in their philosophy as far as no scapegoating and always room for growth and improvement does not apply to them. The schedule and shifts are ridiculous. Some of their policies need to be revised.....of your single with no kids or responsibilities go for it

    Advice to Management

Realize it's more to life than Kelsch bc you lose great employees over policies in place that y'all don't even seem to follow

I worked at Kelsch associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is decent in comparison to most companies within the social services field. Resident counselors are devoted to their jobs and willing to go the extra mile.

    Cons

A lot of bureaucracy from upper management who mostly are not in touch with managers running the homes. There is a disconnect between head office & the homes

    Advice to Management

Management need to be more involve to bridge the divide between them and the homes. Listen to managers and residential counselors.

    Cons

    Pros

None . Trying to find something positive to say is unbelievable.

    Cons

Very unprofessional, no room for growth , they do not care about your well being . They are quick to reprimand employees for things that are clearly unnecessary. Your hard work goes unnoticed . If you are sick and cannot make it to work be prepared to get written up or if it snows really bad and you clearly cannot make it to work because the roads are horrific be prepared to get written up also .

    Advice to Management

Start caring more for your employees. Without us it wouldn't be possible. Everyone has responsibilities so stop trying to take away bonuses and firing for unnecessary things . Everyone encounters emergency at some point in their lives so be realistic and understanding instead of rushing to reprimand . look around and listen to all the negative complaints and review and try to make changes to make Kelsch a better place .

I worked at Kelsch associates (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was decent especially with the bi-weekly bonus. Greatest blessing was finding another job and leaving.

    Cons

Upper Management had favorites and everyone else, according to the guy who owns the company, were "replaceable". And they treat you just like that. Forget having a life if your 2nd shift.
The bi-weekly and yearly bonuses have been taken away. After 18 months of employment your pay rate stays the same (if you continue the same job title and shift)
They accept residents who don't need to be there and push them on their employees just to collect a check from the state.
