    Pros

Pay, and benifits are good for drivers. Time off is good. As long as you follow loading and unloading procedures they are okay to work for

    Cons

Communication is awful here. You could go weeks without hearing from dispatcher. Management is job scared, equipment is not the greatest, backup dispatcher is clueless, and for big company they are cheap. There is more but I have to go.

    Advice to Management

Replace the management you have in place. Quit hiring people that kiss butt.

    Pros

Back integrated in all products, so less affected by raw material swings. Good opportunities to show an utilize your talents. Management structure is very flat.

    Cons

Some business and HR structures are under emphasized or don't exist. Opportunities for advancement and development can be limited.

    Advice to Management

Develop a more comprehensive long term strategy. Sales and profit targets are not a strategy in and of itself.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Kemira (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The benefits are mediocre
    The co-workers were great
The company does not terminate employees for major mistakes
You get a lot of experience doing jobs other than your own

    Cons

    The pay is not competitive.
The management chain, starting at the CEO all the way to local managers, may have enough vision to see their nose.
The tier for pay is horrible. There is over $10 difference per hour between the top and bottom.
The company will lay off, recall, and lay you off two weeks later starting that it is too slow to keep you. However, it's too busy to let you take PTO.

    Advice to Management

Before cutting an employees wages during a slow period, consider cutting your own wages and bonuses. Stop capital projects.
Listen to your employees. Your employees are your bread and butter. Cut dead weight by getting rid of your supervisors. They are the real dead weight.
    Do NOT LIE to employees.
