    I worked at Kennedy Book Store part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule. Great co-wokers. All jobs are pretty easy except during book rush season. Some managers are cool but some are jerks.

    Cons

    Some managers can be jerks. The textbook department can be crappy but all the other jobs are super easy.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be so stern.

    I have been working at Kennedy Book Store full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Overall, coworkers are great. It was an enjoyable atmosphere to work in, with hard work being appreciated.

    Cons

    Upper management didn’t like being confronted with business issues and kept business decisions a secret. Especially when they were failures.

    Advice to Management

    Show faith in the people below you. Sometimes they have a different perspective that you might not have considered.

    Great people to work with, very flexible for scheduling around your classes

    Cons

    It can get very boring and sometimes there's drama between employees

    Don't hire people who cannot handle alphabetical order

    Pros

    Management is extremely flexible with your work hours. The type of work done is not all that demanding.

    Cons

    They pay is minimum wage. Some managers have very poor attitudes toward the associates. Sometimes the job can be boring.

    Advice to Management

    The manager in charge has great leadership abilities and is very effective at her job. Some of the middle management needs to do a better job at treating others with respect.

    Being around books and the people who are actual readers, Your co workers who tend to be fairly interesting is another reason to enjoy working there
