    Pros

The people were intelligent and the environment was fast paced with innovative products. Cross functional teams were a pleasure to work on here.

    Cons

Formal program management was not in place to ensure on time delivery of solutions. Projects tended to experience delays and setbacks.

    Advice to Management

The structure was such that a product was developed and them shopped around to buyers. Having a more customer focused front end would have helped ensure the right products were being prioritized.

    Pros

Exposure to medical devices in production and on the market
    Exposure different functions

    Cons

Slow and not ambitious R&D team
Following others in the field rather than leading

    Advice to Management

Keep hungry talent in the team - case to be made of getting older "veterans" out...hard to imagine but millenniums have a role in medtech industry and could be your competitive advantage

I have been working at Kensey Nash as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone was extremely friendly and always willing to help if you asked. It felt like a small community. There were very few barriers between higher level employees and the lower level. My responsibilities were progressed as my time went on.

    Cons

The work was dependent on current orders/issues so it could get slow at times. While there was opportunity to take on more responsibility, again it depended on what projects were currently open.

I have been working at Kensey Nash full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedules. Friendly people. Decent compensation. Does extras for the employees like safety program, gift cards for birthdays, etc. Employee Safety is important to the company.

    Cons

Some departments are poorly managed. Upper management doesn't listen to employee problems. Same issues with employees continually happen and cause problems with workflow. Issues brought up to management, who listens, and then does nothing. Upper management even jokes about certain employees not doing their job, but doesn't step in to fix the problems.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees. When several employees are commenting about a certain employee or department, don't just sweep it under the rug. Your trust and reliability is no longer there. Employees know which managers will listen and do something and which managers just ignore it.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great people. Interesting work. Good benefits. Nice new facility. Good potential

    Cons

Certain departments are run very poorly. In some departments, scapegoating common, turnover high, poor decision making, incompetent management

    Advice to Management

Act to fix the departments that are a drag on the rest of the company. Do not protect management just because of time served. Sr. Management is aware of the problem but turns a blind eye.
