Opportunities to work with c-level executives

    Pros

    - Exposure to high-powered clients immediately (I graduated from college and was in a meeting with the CMO of a major pension provider within 2 months) - The people: what other companies would call "upper management" feel more like colleagues here at Kepler. Hierarchies just don't matter, and I feel like I've been able to grow more as a person than I would at another company because of my strong relationships with the upper management

    Cons

    - Consulting is a pretty unpredictable industry, so it's hard to plan travel/weekends too far in advance

    Truly great experience

    Pros

    1. Awesome learning experience all around: do challenging analyses, create powerful pitches, own the client relationships, etc; and you get to do that from early on 2. Plenty of opportunities to travel within the US and abroad 3. Fair variety of projects 4. Good mentorship formally and informally - you certainly feel like the senior team does care about your personal and professional growth 5. Chance to work closely with senior people within the firm (who are approachable, smart and friendly) and outside the firm (your clients are super senior people; lots of responsibility) 6. Decent work life balance for consulting 7. Fantastic work environment: your coworkers are smart and great people; even when you're stressed out, you are able to have fun at work

    Cons

    1. It's a growing firm: that does mean some of your time will be tied to firm development, which is a blessing (fantastic experience for those who plan on starting their own business one day) and a curse (because you are already busy enough with client work) 2. It's still consulting, this isn't a 9am-5pm job

    Pros

    - Fun culture and coworkers quickly become your friends/second family - Variety of projects, industries, roles that an employee can tackle during their time here - No rigid vertical hierarchy, resulting in an environment of open communication and camaradarie - Your viewpoints matter and you are given significant responsibility from the get-go

    Cons

    - As someone mentioned below, there is very little hand holding and you often have to push-through the difficulties and figure them out on your own - Variations in the quality of project managers/management - Long hours, unpredictable schedules, typical consulting cons

    Pros

People across all levels are fun, talented and humble, junior team is given leadership opportunities and high independence to manage projects, Promotion process is clear and transparent, senior management (internal and clients) are very accessible to junior team

    Cons

Strong culture of excellence means high expectations; experiences are therefore very polarized between those who thrive and those who are do not

Great culture, high integrity, entrepreneurial spirit.

    Pros

Junior level employees are not limited in any way. They can grow as fast as their skills allow and are compensated accordingly. Great company culture and strong sense of community.

    Cons

Hours can be long, but this is consulting. Managers are demanding but fair. If you are being asked to do something it is never meaningless, it will materially contribute to the success of the engagement.

    New but enjoying

    Pros

The people. The multifaceted nature of it (though this could be a con if you don't enjoy having many irons in many fires at one time). Beautiful office. Learning a lot. Awesome job, honestly.

    Cons

Long hours, but I consider anything longer than 8 hours a day to be long.

    Pros

    - Opportunities for self-paced advancement and growth (up or out culture) - Senior partner willingness to invest in the personal development of junior consultants is unparalleled - Challenging yet stimulating project work for well established clients - Collaborative culture with people who genuinely respect each other (happy hours, retreats, team dinners, etc. are all nice perks too!)

    Cons

    - Fast-paced, high pressure work environment due to high expectations - Very little hand-holding as consultants are expected to be resourceful and figure things out on their own
