    Pros

Good place to start and learn. Most coworkers ready to help you when you need it. Get to see patients get better.

    Cons

Management needs to listen to the staff. Not enough staff. Sometimes RN end up doing an RA job. A lot of the equipment doesn't work and management is aware and has done nothing to fix it.

I worked at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation - West Orange (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the Coworkers are awesome, learn a few things from senior staff.

    Cons

Horrible Place to work and after reading these reviews more than clear HR is desperate enough to write their own reviews or the few that did review are the favored group. The patients are awesome if you treat them right but complaints that come from them often is that the place is dirty, the equipment is outdated and often noisy, the linens have stains and holes, they are charged for services and items they didn't receive, the list goes on. For staffing if you are Full Time they will under staff in hopes that you can come in and do the extra work in double shifts or that you will give up your days off to fill in where they clearly should've staffed. If you are Per Diem good luck getting days to work whether you put in a schedule or not you will always come last to a Full Timers double or a Agency Sitter you will even be cancelled after already arriving to work so that they can stay or come in so you have been warned. The favored few Per Diems will rack up all the hours available doing doubles every single day if allowed and when you look for a few hours there are none. The Management is a piece of work doesn't matter how hard you work they are never watching unless you agree to be their pet and fetch things for them and go above and beyond to please them or you have refused to do what I just mentioned making you a target to which case hold on for the repeated calls from HR for everything from breathing to existing. HR will always side with them no matter what you do or what proof you have they kind of have a thing for firing people left and right especially with their newly acquired HR Rep. For the sake of not writing a book I will end it here but if you want to keep your licenses and certifications steer clear go somewhere that takes their line of work and your careers seriously.

    Advice to Management

Fire yourself! You might have the education but lack the professionalism to Lead a TEAM.
