    I worked at Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check full-time

    Pros

    Lots of firm building functions/events. They are generally very mindful of work/family balance. Their benefits are great if you are only covering yourself (everything is covered and free for the employee) however it's VERY expensive if you need to insure your family. (~650+ to add a spouse)

    Cons

    There is little to no upward mobility. You are basically hired for the position and that's where you stay.

    Advice to Management

    Give employees more training and opportunities for growth and development.

    Pros

    Pay was good some people were nice.

    Cons

    People come and go as they please. There's no moving up in the firm your stuck where you are at. The HR department sucks they have no clue how to do there job and communication sucks.

    Advice to Management

    Might want to keep a eye on other employees lot of things happen that are not suppose to and those individuals still work there.

    Pros

    Great benefits - low health insurance premiums and they marched your 401k payments to a point.
    Nice people work there.

    Cons

    High turnover - you are lucky if you make it past a few years there. Poor HR department (but that can be said for many places).

    Advice to Management

    Need more allowance for quality of life.

    I worked at Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The equity partners are truly people who care about their employees at all levels. Many employees and lawyers have worked here for well over a decade. The benefits and environment are really comprehensive. If you are willing to work in a place that demands the best of you every day, this place is great.

    Cons

    If you are someone who wants to phone it in every day, not the right place for you.

    The most caring leaders I've ever worked with.
    Professional growth I've experienced here is the best I've every experience in my career. I learn something new everyday and work with the best of the best in the field.
    The benefits are outstanding and FREE to employees - the firm pays the full cost for medical, dental, vision, life insurance. Unheard of!
    The atmosphere is respectful, laid back, professional, friendly and caring.
    Casual dress code.

    Cons

    No cons to share.
    It is all positive here at this firm.

    Pros

    Good benefits and a friendly culture.

    Cons

    High turnover rate - was told to bring my infant to work late at night if I had work to finish rather than working from home.

    Pros

    Medical benefits; casual dress code

    Cons

    This firm plays by its own set of HR rules, regardless of how unprofessional and unethical those rules may be. As the other reviews state, an annual purging of employees is very real at this place and nobody is safe. Associates work long hours, including while on their vacations and weekends. With the abundance of prestigious law firms in the Philadelphia area, I recommend seeking employment elsewhere.

    Pros

    The Firm seems to be growing at a fast pace. They pay their employees well and offer full benefits, which is unheard of these days. Dress is casual.

    Cons

    Not the best place I have worked, to say the least. Communication between upper management and staff is condescending at best. It is an extremely unprofessional environment. Many fear for their jobs on a day to day basis.

    Advice to Management

    Get Managing Partners some experience in Management.

    Casual dress atmosphere;
    Firm tries to organize social events to keep things lose;
    90% of firm under age 45
    Bonuses can be generous

    Cons

    Looooong hours
    Constantly feel under pressure to perform
    Each year there is a revolving door of associates and staff attorneys
    Most of compensation is paid via year-end bonus, so actual salary is low.

    Advice to Management

    Shift some compensation from bonus to salary;
