Ketchum is an awesome agency to work for. They treat their employees very well, have good benefits, and have a great work-life balance for NYC pr agencies. They have programs to go abroad, visit other offices and meet colleagues around the network.

    Cons

There are no cons that come to mind.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at Ketchum full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a global agency, Ketchum offers employees so many career growth opportunities. If you have a passion for a certain aspect of PR, Market Research, Change, Digital?Social, opportunities abound regardless of where in the agency you came in. I've seen employees move across practices, change job functions, move across geographies and live out their dreams here at Ketchum. Ketchum has strong, visible senior leadership as well as wonderful, genuinely nice people. Ketchum's values are aimed toward employee development and stellar client service. I've noticed that management at Ketchum wants employees to succeed and grow. Ketchum has some unique offerings for employees such as the Global Scholars program (where they send you on all expense paid trip to one of our global Ketchum offices to solve a business problem), Ketchum University, Camp Ketchum and fun social initiatives such as CSR, Social Club, Random Acts, running club, bowling and more; not to mention every Friday ends with a happy hour in the office. Great office, centrally located.

    Cons

Vacation policy is a little outdated (still broken down into vacation, personal and sick time, rather than straight PTO), but Ketchum has so many other wonderful qualities that the vacation policy is not a deal breaker by any means. Also, Ketchum not a big bonus environment.

    Advice to Management

Management does a great job. Would revise vacation policy, but other than that, Ketchum leadership is down-to-earth, visible, transparent and believes in excellence. They have clear visions for growth and a strong ability to lead. Our Senior leaders are thought leaders in the industry, many are power-house women that inspire other women and have achieved it all, like kids, family, career and leadership. At Ketchum, there is no glass ceiling for women and men alike. Something I admire most about working here.

"Flavor of the month" strategic initiatives that could be effective with more support, focus and dedication from senior leaders

    Pros

Great accounts, smart people, management focuses on work life balance especially for an agency.

    Cons

There is relatively low turnover so it too me a little while to get to know everyone but once I did I realized what a great group of people are here.

    Advice to Management

    Consider reviewing PTO policy.

I have been working at Ketchum full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ketchum's strong senior leadership, best-in-class investment when it comes to learning and training for their employees all contributes to a fun, family-like community to work with. Great people make a great culture that centers around strong, strategic decision-making for not just our clients but the future of the agency as well.

    Cons

The office space and location leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes the conservative culture of the business and Omnicom can hinder creative risk-taking.

    Advice to Management

Significant upgrades to the office space are needed.
