    Pros

Great location for Headquarters (Cleveland is great). I would say that they have very nice facilities in general

    Cons

Over complicated HR and Org chart -- internships are hellish. These people pretend that they are wall street bankers and forget that their customers are midwest manufacturers.

    Advice to Management

    Refocus internship program

I have been working at KeyBank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are great. The extra perks such as the sports tickets and tuition reimbursement. They are very flexible with balancing work and home.

    Cons

I found it hard to move up. It was easy to move laterally but if you want to move up after obtaining several degrees and taking on extra projects to get a higher salary it more than likely will not happen. Interns come in swoop those roles right up!

    Advice to Management

If you love key and want to move up leave and come back for a transitioning role and higher salary

I have been working at KeyBank (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours were 8-5. Very flexible about taking a half day and making up the time with out using PTO. To start off you get 15 days of PTO, after year 5 you get another 5 days of PTO

    Cons

The morale of peers did not seem to be as high as it should. People complained when they would do more work than others.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to learn how to do the jobs of the people who are doing the work everyday so they know what to expect better

    Pros

Benefits, incentive compensation, time off, salary

    Cons

It's a terrible work environment. Over half of the branches are not fully staffed, in many branches it's a revolving door of staff coming and going (including managers) which makes meeting the high sales goal expectations near impossible. Managers are hired at a whim with no thought to their ability in leadership and therefore affect the staff as far as coaching and meeting production goals. The orientation training for bankers and managers is terrible. They also give quite a bit of lip service to "helping the customers." But at the end of the day you had better help "x amount" of customers and sell "x amount of credit cards" etc. When branch goals are not met, managers tell you push the flavor of the day. (Credit cards, Large Deposits etc) Many bankers push things on customers that they don't need only to make their numbers and they get praised for this behavior b/c it is making the bank money.

    Advice to Management

Find out how to hire good "leaders" not just managers. Improve the training and then the follow up coaching by the manager.

    Advice to Management

opportunities to cut non-value add work. positions of oversight and review of experienced management can be streamlined to cut costs without sacrificing quality. employees can make suggestions that would lead to savings
