Good company but no accountability

Good benefits, a lot of paid time off.
Cons
Low pay for hours put in. Training is horrible. You get re-embursed for mileage and out of pocket expenses but expect to wait a month so receive the money.

Pros
I really can not think of one besides some of the decent DSP's who work here and the individuals who reside within the agency.

Pros
Co-workers are often very supportive and stick together. There are many chances for training opportunities. Not a lot of out of pocket expenses; it is easy to get reimbursed.
Cons
They do not support their employees as they say they do. Like most companies bringing in the almighty dollar is the most important thing to them, not the individuals served or their employees. Management is not supportive. Pay rate is not the greatest and often very little chance of raises. Communication on many levels is lacking.

+Lots of PTO +Standard Benefits Package (crappy Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, 401k). Nothing special. +Being able to care for individuals.

No raises policy. -Heavy work-place politics (My way or the highway type attitude) -Non-Unionized -Huge overturn rate (There is a reason they have a hard time hiring) -Upper management are out of touch with individual programs -Lack of direction/protocols -Lots of PTO, but no chance to actually use it -Heavy work-home stress for horrible pay

You grow to care for the people you work for. All colleagues are kind and welcoming. The hiring staff is kind and welcoming. For tough work, you do have a support system to fall back on.
Cons
Though there is a lot of Paid Time Off (PTO), you wind up having to use it often. It's hard to save up. While the management is kind and empathetic, they need to be more proactive about the policies and procedures put in place. The pay also isn't great. There's a degree requirement for some of the houses and you still only end up making less than average.
