    Pros

    - Easy interview process.
    - Never worked over 40 hours (government requirement).

    Cons

    - Management is more concerned about billing its customers than helping their "associates".
    - When management positions come open, the company looks outside of the organization first, instead of advancing current employees. This relates back to the first point.

    Pros

Most people don't actually work for them as they are a contracting firm. So there's little need to interact with the company.

    Cons

Expensive health care, minimal vacation (that you can't get approved and they won't pay out when you leave), upper management most ignores everyone else, extremely limited mobility, very unequal pay even within the same contract, no career path goals, no company vision.

    Advice to Management

Just sell now while the company is still worth something.

    Cons

Management and not much room for growth

    Cons

As long as I've been with Kforce, I have not had any negative issues.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great opportunity to work in one of the largest enterprise network environments in the world. Working with the military is a real pleasure. You will never be bored and you will be constantly learning in this environment.

    Cons

Salary is not as competitive as it should be given the scope and size of the enterprise. It seems the company values quantity over quality,

    Advice to Management

Really compete with other sectors of the IT industry for talent. This lack of competition leads to a scarcity of qualified candidates for positions.

    Pros

My managers have always been really laid back and understanding. There is a great support for work-life balance, the team is great, benefits are good, and I enjoy the work I do. Really all around just a good job to have without the flashy-hip efforts of many Austin companies. Also, if you get tired of your current scenery, they can often move you to a different contract.

    Cons

Well, you are working with the government by definition, so you have to deal with a ton of bureaucracy. The pay raises are minimal, just keeping pace with inflation unless you make a really good case for yourself. There isn't a lot of room to move up into management, you are pretty much hired for the job you will be doing for a while.

    Advice to Management

Keep making the employees feel like they are being put first.

    Pros

Many talented professionals, good intentions, strong drive

    Cons

Very revenue driven, needs to strengthen communications and connections between all associates

    Advice to Management

Focus on aligning individual personal goals and professional development towards a common goal by with support to front line associates as a priority - develop and nurture bottom-up to reach targets instead of demanding top-down.

    Pros

There was absolutely nothing good about working for KGS

    Cons

Totally unqualified management personal in the Aurora CO, office.

Deceitful, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful to their employees.

    Advice to Management

    Fire your management in Aurora

    Pros

A paycheck when I really needed to be employed. Job stability inherent in long-term government contracts. Is that 20 words? Nothing else good to say

    Cons

KGS is a typical tier 2 Federal government staff augmentation contractor. In other words, submit your time sheet on time and don't expect career opportunities, brilliant coworkers, competent managers, enthusiasm, great corporate culture and so on.

Salaries are below market. No bonus plan. 401k is lacking, but your salary will be so low you won't have discretionary income to even take advantage of the tax benefit. Health benefits are adequate (from parent company). No career development of any kind.

If you like glacial government culture with an extra serving of distracting politics and misinformation from the client, then KGS might be right for you. If you like to get things done with minimal red tape, you should look elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

At least you guys understand what you are and don't insult your employees by pretending the company is more than a middling staff augmentation player.
