    Pros

Excellent benefits. Homemade lunch provided everyday. Access to certain golf courses on the island. Several employee discounts at shops on the island.

    Cons

You will deal with a diverse assortment of families.

    Advice to Management

Management was very professional and pleasing to work under.

I worked at Kiawah Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent Benefits, Consistent Schedule. They are a pretty organized company but not perfect. Working near the beach and pretty scenery. They provide uniforms.

    Cons

Toxic Employees, Low Pay to Travel Far, Bad Management. The three clubhouses all talk bad about one another, there is no teamwork. Lack of communication. Caddie employees talk about each other to each other and their supervisors.

    Advice to Management

Upper management has been around too long; They are not held responsible for wrong doing. They need an HR consultant company to come in and clean the staff up.

I have been working at Kiawah Partners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working as a server for the club has its perks, for one we get paid vacation and sick leave, health and dental benefits, and the view of the sun-setting for the River is amazing.

    Cons

Some cons, would be the far drive but you don't have to worry about parking in comparison to working downtown.

I have been working at Kiawah Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nearly everything about Kiawah is top-notch: the people, the physical workplace (individual offices), the technology, the work/life balance, the wellness program, and much more. From the small touches like your choice of free coffee or tea in multiple flavors to the updated computers & software, the chance to produce cutting-edge work current with the latest trends, and the office space in picturesque Freshfields Village, it's a pleasure to come to work every day. And the people are amazing; I can count on a few fingers the people who make life anything but perfectly pleasant. Almost everyone here is helpful, friendly, and fun: a joy to work with and be around. And while we work hard and produce a LOT, the work/life balance here is second to none compared to everywhere else I've worked. The leadership team here definitely treats people as human beings worthy of respect and a smile. When South Carolina experienced a historic level of flooding last autumn, the leadership team kept us constantly informed, was flexible about letting people arrive when they could make it due to record-breaking traffic conditions, and even gave everyone who came to work a small bonus for each day during the flooding. So great! Last but not least, for a smaller company, the benefits here are above average... and being a smaller company, each employee has the chance to really shine and personally interact with people at all levels within the organization, including the highest levels of leadership—who are also friendly and down-to-earth. Plus: a superb holiday party! This company knows how to entertain & treat people like stars.

    Cons

The lack of competitive compensation is just about the only drawback to working here, especially when paired with the long (but beautiful) commute of 30-60 minutes for most people. Annual raises when given are much like cost-of-living increases. Given how great the company is in every other respect, this is really surprising! The 401(k) match, while very much appreciated, is also low at 1%. That said, the company has invested a great deal of time and money in its health & wellness program, which is really nice.

    Advice to Management

Bring employees' salaries at least up to Charleston compensation averages (which is low compared to most other US cities) across the board; consider moving some money from the wellness program to the 401(k) match. Otherwise, keep doing what you're doing! Fantastic

    Pros

gorgeous property, good pay with benefits, staff meal, beautiful island, great wildlife to watch, the beach is nearby, good local produce, pretty country living, away from the masses.

    Cons

the staff treat people like they are empty minded worker ants with a touch of ghetto and discrimination. A very uncomfortable work shift atmosphere they encourage obedience and strict rigged behavior. the staff look over your every move like you are an outsider that has no reason to work there. a very discriminating and hateful back stabbing high school brats that are in a lost world. the restaurant is on the 3rd floor, management encourages the staff to use the stairs, the dishwashers are located in the basement. the management have no regard for serving members black-marked wet and less than perfect heated plates. the management set rules for all except a chosen few that know nothing of proper service, it's embarrassing. during football season the staff watches football and talks about fantasy football in a loud voice the entire season. in my opinion the entire staff or organization have never ever heard of (TGM) totally quality management

    Advice to Management

have you ever heard of (TGM) totally quality management? the place is run like a ghetto with an atmosphere from the 1980's and you show nothing but favoritism. you hire people with no experience and you train them with minimum expectations and skills. no one is ever in a good mood during the shift and hate being there.
