    Pros

The staff gets paid to play, who can say that at their job? You get good benefits and pay. You can create a fun, safe environment for the little guests that you can take with you to future endeavors.

    Cons

Dealing with the casino guests and its environment has its issues. Definitely not banker hours, but flexible schedules. Having to deal with intoxicated guests is no walk in the park.

I worked at Kids Quest part-time

    Pros

It's a fun place to work

    Cons

Terrible hours, terrible management, get sent home less than 4 hours into your shift

Thank you for your candid input. Unfortunately the nature of our business relies on holiday and vacation traffic at our different resort locations. That means we have to staff according to the number... More

I have been working at Kids Quest part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Its fun, co-workers are all pretty much friendly, most of the kids are polite, it is pretty fun- even for a worker, the kids love actually interacting with workers, most kids come back and remember you, most parents appreciate you, and you get a free lunch from the cafeteria

    Cons

Its difficult to balance work and a life outside of work, it feels more like full-time than part-time, some of the kids refuse to listen, its difficult to completely get the managers' attention most of the time because it can get crazy busy, you most likely won't get off for holidays, New Year's Eve is INSANELY busy, kids get bored if there for more than a few hours and start to complain and want to go home, the games/areas that malfunction stay unfixed for a while, and you're on your feet from the time you walk in to the time you leave

    Advice to Management

Try to be there for employees more, especially new hires

I worked at Kids Quest (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment being able to interact with the children. I loved my staff.

    Cons

Low pay. As an assistant director I was on call anytime I wasn't working without receiving overtime. It's a minimum of 45 hours a week and I closed almost every shift I worked which on weekends means you are there until 2:30 or later on Friday and Saturday nights, week days until 12:30 or later in the morning. Supposed to get one weekend off a month, however, due to supervisors or director being absent this rarely happened.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees more and make sure you have enough staff scheduled in order to not need to call in employees who aren't on call or call them in hours earlier than scheduled.

    Pros

It's a fun job if you like working with kids. You're basically there to play games with them and make sure they're safe. A good job for anyone who doesn't have much else going on.

    Cons

The hours are awful and management is not always considerate of your availability. Not all kids are a joy to be around and neither are some of the parents. Not a job you can realistically make a career out of.

I have been working at Kids Quest full-time

    Pros

I've been with the company for a year now and it's been the greatest and most memorable experience of my life. Playing with children all day, the coolest games, dancing and singing along to your favorite songs on a karaoke stage and being a rock star; who wouldn't love that?! It's a place full of smiles, laughs and all around fun. Bonds are created with your co-workers and the children and these memories will last forever. Kids Quest becomes essentially like a second home with an extended family and who could really ask for more than that?

    Cons

We should be all over the world! :)

    Advice to Management

Continue to branch out so everyone all over can join the fun!

    Pros

    Staff was great
interacting with children made the day fun

    Cons

Corporate staff would ask for suggestions but then never listen to it
Management respected the staff and made work fun
Late hours - no need to be open that late
open everyday - once worked Christmas morning and didnt see a customer for over 3 hours
