Pros
Having fun, being around children, gaining experience, full of energy and excitement, and GREAT bi-weekly tips!
Cons
LOW pay (unless you are just seeking experience and have little to no responsibilities)
Continue readingA fast and fun place to work? We will take that! We will also take your feedback and use it for change. The pay rate is something we are working on - there is a balance that needs to be in place to compensate our teammates, pay overhead costs, and still maintain an affordable hourly rate for our families. The first solution we put into play this year was the employee bonus program and thus far, we are seeing some great momentum! We are also adding a tip line to invoices to increase and better track the disbursement of gratuities you so richly deserve as hardworking supervisors and teammates.

Pros
Having fun with the children.
Cons
Low pay high turnover rate The management is terrible. They do not do the employee reviews like it is stated in the teammate manual. Management plays favorites. They will have one worker doing 15 things "since they are good at it" instead of training the other workers in doing the tasks as well. Seriously signed paperwork stating I was to get a raise, a year and 3 months later still no raise. Don't make plans on your off day 99.9% of the time you're called in and expected to be there. Really you're expected to give them your life.

We are sorry that your experience at Kids Quest did not live up to your expectations, but rest assured, we are listening to you and using your feedback to improve as a company. We know that being a Kids Quest teammate is a big responsibility with both rewards and challenges. Rates of pay reflect what we can provide as compensation and still maintain an affordable hourly fee for care. In 2015, we implemented the employee bonus program to increase compensation. We have also put together a new training plan that makes learning fun and easier to access. Please understand that we are striving to gain consistency throughout the company. All of our concerns regarding management can be addressed by our new Director of Human Resources, me! Please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss your thoughts confidentially.

Pros
Fun environment being able to interact with the children. I loved my staff.
Cons
Low pay. As an assistant director I was on call anytime I wasn't working without receiving overtime. It's a minimum of 45 hours a week and I closed almost every shift I worked which on weekends means you are there until 2:30 or later on Friday and Saturday nights, week days until 12:30 or later in the morning. Supposed to get one weekend off a month, however, due to supervisors or director being absent this rarely happened.
