    Pros

Offers a sense of accomplishment seeing kids benefit
    Teaches employees responsibility for life
    Opportunity for advancement
People you work with keep you going

    Cons

Some upper level management have been around for years and have a massive sense of entitlement. Days can be very stressful.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees more, they are the backbone of the company.

I have been working at KidsPeace full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is relevant to the Marketing Department only. The culture within KidsPeace is decent. I find my co-workers to be pleasant to work with and be around. They're all good people and genuinely seem to care. The salary for a marketing position is good. Health benefits are also good. As long as you are an independent individual, a marketing position will be good for you and is not overly demanding or stressful. The position is loosely goal-oriented and management is not overly involved in your day to day.

    Cons

Aside from smaller bonuses, based on revenue, there aren't any raises (in the Marketing Department) ever. They do not 403(b) match. In this position, it can feel like you're on an island, as your coworkers are spread across the country.

    Advice to Management

Provide raises based on performance (annual reviews already occur). Provide matching for the 403(b).

    Pros

Kids peace offers pretty much anyone a job and its a very good entry level opportunity. just trying to get to the minimum at this point

    Cons

major con is that the clients that you deal with can put you in danger at times. They teach you a restraint system but educated clients will know how to manipulate it and put your safety at risk. The company pays for expenses if you get hurt but not good to work for a place that puts your health at risk.

    Advice to Management

No real advice. They seem profitable I can't add anything they don't already know about their corporation so keep on doing what they're doing.

I have been working at KidsPeace full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The work that we do really does make a big difference. Sometimes the results come right away and other times you see kids and families succeed later in life. The kids often resist treatment in the beginning but eventually come around and make relationships with the staff and teachers.

    Cons

The hours and pay are tough for direct care but thankfully the pay is being raised substantially in 2017.

    Advice to Management

Keep working on pay and work life balance for line staff.

I worked at KidsPeace full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great mental health experience, good peer support. Beautiful location. Majority of staff seems to really care about the kids. Many training opportunities.

    Cons

Due to the pay, many of the "good" staff stay for a short time to gain experience and go on to higher paying job. Very high turn over.

    Advice to Management

The nurses and and direct care staff should be paid more. The rates for nurses are low compared to surrounding facilities

I have been working at KidsPeace part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Growth opportunity, good training, some staff are very committed to enhancing their work environment and are very professional. I have had good managers and colleagues that work together very well.

    Cons

There is no perfect place so I guess it depends on the reviewer. the only con I see is that sometimes they have to rely on individuals who are transient and not truly trying to become professionals in the field that they are working. this is always risky especially when working with children.
