I have been working at Kiewit Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Kiewit is a great company to work for. There are plenty of great sources for information that you can reach out to accomplish the tasks that you need. You also get to work on some of the coolest projects all around the nation

    Cons

Standard issues with all big construction companies long hours, working on weekends, and having to relocate to find work. The job can also become stressful at times.

    Advice to Management

Think a little more about your employees. We take great care to make sure that the men and women working in the field are taken care of but the staff gets left to the way side.

I worked at Kiewit Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Amazing world class projects, opportunity to work with the best clients and JV partners in the business. Big investments in new software to integrate bidding and project controls- rickety at first but paid off

    Cons

Low bar of entry for hire. Mediocrity is tolerated. High overhead costs are due to large amount of unnecessary positions filled with people who do bare minimum.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of useless people. It's demoralizing and offensive to the good ones who end up carrying the team.
