Great company with benefits and 401K packages
Cons
Company is extremely large so it is tough to get that one on one experience.

Amazing Internship Experience
Apr 22, 2019 - Field Engineer Intern in Huntington Beach, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Kiewit has an amazing internship program. They make it very easy to move to a new location with great relocation benefits. They are not afraid to give interns real responsibilities and integrate them into the team. Also a great segway into a full time career!
Cons
Work hours can be long, but that is to be expected in the construction industry.

Great until you're looking for a raise.

They treat you well and offer good benefits with a great 401k package. There is a good team atmosphere and overall a great place to work. Plenty of growth opportunities at kiewit. Depending on the project you'll get a ton of team building exercises and happy hours.
Cons
You'll find that they dont really give out true raises. They have an annual review and oftentimes give you a minimum raise to adjust for inflation. As much as I'd love to stay, a good raise is always needed and if they cant provide that...

Pros
Benefits package is great (except you're not fully vested in your 401k unless you've worked there for 5 years!)
Cons
Culture is pretty awful. Favoritism and nepotism is rampant (they treat anyone who isn't in upper management's inner circle pretty badly); respect, integrity, and honesty aren't valued by upper management; and glass ceilings are a problem. Plus, work/life balance is awful. Very authoritarian and micro-managing management styles. If you're looking for a place to work where you can trust that you'll be treated fairly, this isn't it. Nearly everyone I know quit because of this same reason.

Waiting... Never sure where you're going to end up next. I've been tossed around from department to department

Treat you like royalty when you first start out, great people to work with, very helpful when starting out. Great benefits in 401K and stock options (big returns on investments)
Cons
Takes a while to get stock, work hours are demanding, will work on weekends

Pros
Benefits were great and most of the projects were fun to work on.
Cons
Management will throw you under the bus for problems they create. No mentor-ship available and communication was severely lacking. They make you work long hours ( I did back to back day and night shift for 107 hours in a week and wasn't even thanked).
