    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Kiewit Infrastructure West full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Tough jobs that present a daily challange. Safety is top priority. Near unlimited resorces to get the job done. You set your career path and speed. If you work hard, you get rewarded, if you take it easy, you slow down your pace.

    Cons

Long hours, travel potential, lack of knowledge where you stand amongst peers, seems to drag around dead weight and not get rid of it. Insurance is not the cheapest.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to post a salary range by the position in the company, just so you have a idea where you are at.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Kiewit Infrastructure West for more than 3 years

    Pros

If you're psychologically unstable, this is the best place for you to get a job. They hire and keep people with incredibly shady pasts. I seriously don't think they even run background checks anymore because they can't seem to keep people.

    Cons

Human Resources was supposed to take action in a case of harassment. They took no action, and the harassment still continues. Human Resources also shares private information with supervisors, who then use that information against employees. Hands down the worst company I've ever worked for. Kiewit is known to be large and safe. Well, they need to take a better look at their smaller operations, such as Kiewit Mining Group....

    Advice to Management

Investigate the management within KMG. You have unqualified people stepping up, abusive people taking charge, and a corrupt HR department that doesn't understand discretion and confidentiality.

I have been working at Kiewit Infrastructure West full-time

      Pros

Lot of field experience is there is work available. They tend to have the best Carpenter/Ironworker/Masonry tradesmen, who have a lot of experience and can really speed start a new graduate into the industry. They will also pay to move you from job to job, which I guess is standard, but sometimes they give you a per diem based on home office and location of the job. This can usually be extra income as if an employee...

      Cons

Lots and lots of hours. Just about every project is a double shifted schedule push. This is coming from Superintendents, fiend engineers, even some managers. It's evident that the turnover rate is extremely high as a result of Con #1. Which it is left up to the individual if that is just the nature of the industry or just the type of work this company pursues.
