I have been working at Killam full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management is good for the most part except for the fact that they settle for employees who shouldn't be in the positions they are and try to explain it by saying there isn't that much out there to choose from. A lazy attitude I believe. You keep trying until you find who you need.

    Cons

Low salaries. They nickel and dime their employees while they make millions every year off the backs of their under paid over worked staff. Then they have the gall to hold a yearly summit, they call it, with all the Resident Managers and top Management and gloat over their profits for the past year while giving the people who really make the money for them on the front lines sandwiches and salad and a 2 hour bus ride to get there in the middle of winter in Canada. You're welcome Killam.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate and respect your staff and reward them accordingly because they're the people who make the money for you.

    Pros

They really do want to have a good atmosphere and culture, and they really do try. They are happy at the top... but unfortunately nobody is happy at the bottom.

    Cons

No appreciation for the hardest workers. No relief or additional compensation for an exceptionally difficult day or week or month. If the executives knew what to demand from middle management maybe the entry levels would be more content if they were told good job or given any kind of incentives

    Advice to Management

    Boost morale.

    Pros

Benefits. Company has vision and drive to expand.

    Cons

Long list of things that need fixing that never get fixed. Lacking in support of front-line worker. Budget and cost saving come before the company vision. No internal development.
You live on site and are on call a lot. Little work life separation.

    Advice to Management

Your company values are not being lived.
