I worked at Kimberly-Clark (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Family like culture. Fun place to work. Small enough to have a nice culture, but big enough to have benefits only found in a big corporation. Also, small enough to know people corporate wide on a first name basis.

    Cons

Some politics hard to break through. Jobs up the ladder are hard to obtain....No Business Need more diversity in hiring. At my current company, it's not a focus at all....team members from many schools, not 4 or 5 target schools.

    Advice to Management

Strive to evolve. Some managers were not that great....need a cohesive management team. Too many managers that us underlings wondered how they got to that position. Now that I work in a bigger corp, I see the top notch management team in my new company and see that KC needs improvement in that area. Also, cut out the BS programs and focus on business.

    Pros

Co-op at KC. Money's good, experience is great, very good chance of getting hired afterwards. And if not, you'll have a stacked resume.

    Cons

Pay could be better. Don't utilize engineering classes taken.

    Pros

Great company to work for, great higher ups, great pay, and they hire people with good team work ethics and personality.

    Cons

There really is not that many cons about the company, if you can get use to working long hours then you will be fine.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great team message and goal for everyone, continue to keep thriving for excellence, and I think our company mission will continue to be successful.

    Pros

Flexible work arrangements, casual dress, great co-workers

    Cons

Limited mobility due to grade system.

    Advice to Management

Several of my Co-workers have left because they are unable to advance to another role due to the grade system. At this time I am also weighing my options. You should consider a system that allows for experience and education, not just current grade.
