    Pros

    Good 401K and great people.

    Cons

The leadership team lacks vision and will often hold their direct reports to a higher standard then they hold themselves. Retaliation is an accepted part of the professional sectors culture.

    Advice to Management

If you're people are not happy and your results are poor, look in the mirror.

    I worked at Kimberly-Clark full-time

    Pros

Great people, excellent customers, dedicated 3rd party installers

    Cons

The company has gone through many cuts and the ones who made the cut to stay are suffering from burnout and overload.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. Be true to work-life balance. We are worried about our former colleagues and friends.

I worked at Kimberly-Clark full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Get to work on some very interesting projects, have met some great people, awesome company health center, competitive pay.

    Cons

Large corporate reorganizations happen pretty regularly, doesn't offer a stability. I recommend taking different roles every couple years, if you stay in one too long it will get eliminated. Was a part of 4 different restructuring over 6 years.

    Advice to Management

There has too be an alternative to the cycles of large downsizing followed by years of rebuilding

I worked at Kimberly-Clark full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great people and team spirit in business units / markets, good salary and benefits, strong talent, systems and tools continue to evolve, strong brands, great developmental opportunities at lower levels, reasonable work / life balance, diverse backgrounds, reasonably modern offices, joining KC was one of the best things I have done.

    Cons

Death by PowerPoint, too many consultant types who don’t know the business but sound smart and contribute little in actually solving problems, always positive leadership style means problems not detected early, career opportunities depends on who you know, too many ideas but never converted to proper strategy or execution plan, no effort to bring structure to complex matrix ie unhealthy tension, too much spin instead to solving problems, some expensive dead weight in corporate type functions, most leaders don’t demonstrate values and behaviors.

    Advice to Management

Focus on getting a few big things right and follow through on executing them (eg develop capability on what matters instead of jumping from idea to idea), get rid of the talkers who speak well but can’t solve problems - ask a few more questions validate what you are fed, see the problems and solve instead of always spinning, nurture and support talent at all levels. It was a great company and I have very fond memories but you need to do something different to get back your mojo.

I have been working at Kimberly-Clark full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The company has strong brands and great people in the business. They have a culture and history of investing in people and sustainable practices.

    Cons

For the last 5 years the IT organization has been trying to transform and lead a strong digital agenda. The current IT leadership team is arrogant and micromanages, with an oppressive and threatening style that is less than inspirational. Talent is fleeing the organization.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the silence and lack of questions is a major red flag. Run an engagement survey or jam session for real feedback.
