    Pros

They're focused on the right things. Run well, run efficiently and run profitably. They're not a bunch of stuffed shirts.

    Cons

This is not meant to be offensive to people who live in other cities, but I can't live in Houston.

    Advice to Management

These are the words of a corporate office employee - your field workers are delightful, hard working people. They are a real treasured part of the firm. Take care of them.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Kinder Morgan full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management was provided a lot of training, better than most companies.

    Cons

Upper Management has a training that tells you that in order to move up in the company you have to have a "Wolf Pack". Company is built on who you know, not what you know. Corporate policies and procedures are horrible.

    Advice to Management

Quit moving up your friends and hire people who know what they are doing.

I worked at Kinder Morgan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for with great benefits.

    Cons

No set procedures for project execution. Project managers do what they like by piece milling the award of engineering and construction contracts with minimal supervision or auditing..

    Advice to Management

Projects to have set and defined scope with better detailed estimates. Projects to be independently audited.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

I left the job b/c I found a job that met my skills and background more than the one at this employer. The pay is not great, but it is what's to be expected for the area. They do offer nice perks, such as several holidays and many benefits.

    Cons

The management allows unacceptable behavior at this location. I saw the same person get away w/ not doing her part on a daily basis that was regularly called to her attention. The entire time I was there, no changes were made in her behavior and nothing was ever really done about it. Even years after I had left, employees still there were going through the same thing.
