Pros
Great Hours, Benefits, and overall joy of the job.
Cons
PAY! Was there for three years with 3 great reviews and only managed to get one very small raise. Paying teachers 8-9 an hour will only get you 8-9 an hour workers. Pay more get better teachers.

Infant room at Kindercare learning centers
Jan 17, 2021 - Infant Teacher in Raleigh, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you enjoy working with children, this is a good job to start out with.
Cons
The pay is not as much as it needs to be and there is not much room for growth.
Professional growth and development is very important to the success of KinderCare. We encourage our teachers to work with their supervisor to identify available opportunities so we can work together to define their career paths among range of opportunities throughout our company. As for compensation, this feedback is in the front of our minds. We are having frank internal discussions within leadership on how to raise wages while not raising tuition for our families. Thank you for your feedback.

WORST PLACE TO WORK WILL RUIN YOUR CAREER
Aug 14, 2019 - Anonymous Employee in Washington, DCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Parents are friendly, staff is somewhat confused but supportive
Cons
Management is only in it for the money. The curriculum is fake and its really babysitting. High staff turnover, constant switching of classes. They never want you to take time off and give your grief. The staff are confused and are sent home with less pay and hours when kids don't show up. The promise of 40 is a lie. When ration is low you get sent home. Lunches are not enough to feed that kids and management is stealing the money. HR is hoax, they have a hotline you can call, but always side with management and never call you back to help.

You will fall in love with children and wanting to teach them. Majority of the staff you will get along with very well.
Cons
The pay is extremely lower than the amount of time and energy you spend at this place. No room for career advancement. Management is poor, organized and unprofessional.

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear you're having a good time with your team and families. We're a company built on relationships, and we want all our people to have a community at our workplaces. We do hear your concerns about burnout. Our employees' health and happiness are of utmost concern, and with the teacher hiring crisis, we are working hard to implement new recruiting and training methods to help address staffing needs as they arise. We really appreciate the feedback, and will be utilizing it going forward to help improve how we do things. If you have any more details you'd like to share, don't hesitate to reach out to Employee Support, and you can reach the TA team here at kindercarejobs@kc-education.com.

It's okay. Could be better, could be worse

Kind families, good support system. The families keep us there. They are so wonderful and lift us up when needed. Not too difficult of a job in general, very demanding and can be physically and mentally draining.
Cons
Pay is rather low for the demand of the job and services that are asked of us. There's not always clear communication between management and employees, sometimes none at all. Cooperate doesn't seem to care about employees or children. It just seems to be about how much money they can make.

Pros
Working with the children watching them grow you honestly grow a bond with them. It is very hard for any human to not enjoy working with the children.
Cons
The pay is not good for what the center director and her assistant put you through. The teachers brag on having little to no education. They don't feed the kids well. They want the teachers to lie to parents which is so disrespectful. They make their workers work overtime off the clock. And if your not gonna cover up then you have to go.

assistant teacher

I worked with some lovely people and children.
Cons
The pay was terrible for the amount of work I put in and I was only an assistant. I felt like I was working harder than people that worked there for over 20 years. I was given a 25 cent raise after 2 years of working with the company.
