I have been working at Kindercare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is one of the best places I have ever worked at. My boss opened me with open arms since day one. She is a great leader and genuinely cares about her employees. She makes and effort to gain a relationship with every child, their parents, and her staff. Coming to a completely different state and starting a new job and having the pressure to make new friends is difficult, but my boss made it easier for me to adapt. I not only gained new friends but a FAMILY. Management makes it a point to make sure every voice and opinion is heard, every need is met, and even when we are having a personal problem they make us feel okay for being human and allows us to come to them for guidance. I'm military so unfortunately I have to move again. When I sit back and think about how I am ever going to leave this place I now call home, I remember that I am so blessed to the opportunity to have something so great that it makes saying goodbye hard.

    Cons

Since the site say I have to make a Con... I would wish the center was a lot bigger. Silverdale KC is like living in a small town where everyone knows everyone and we have each other's backs, which is not a bad thing at all especially since I am from a small town in the south.

    Advice to Management

I love my center director. She inspires me to do great things and she ALWAYS backs me up on any special project I have in mind for my kids! It's nice to feel appreciated at your place of work.

Hours cut, Management is a disaster. Can’tunderstand why everyone goes and they still don’t do nothing to improve and do a BIG PROGRESS to the facility

    Advice to Management

Nothing to said she knows what’s going on

I worked at Kindercare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The kids and parents are great.

    Cons

The pay is terrible and the benefits don't benefit anyone. Management will pry into your life if you're not acting like your "normal self." Most of the girls in management have never been a teacher, so they don't understand the daily struggles teachers go through.

    Advice to Management

Instead of rushing your employees to get things done before the district manager arrives, make sure your employees are always doing it on a daily basis (cleaning, CSR sheets, boards done, etc.).

I have been working at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-teachers are wonderful, nice playground, some freedom with schedule and curriculum.

    Cons

Children and teachers are constantly moved from room to room during the day to be more "efficient", directors are clueless about what actually needs to happen daily, so are regional managers. Very little support for teachers. Curriculum doesn't always make sense for age group. Teachers are expected to be superhuman. Hours aren't great.
