    Pros

There are no pros to Kindercare

    Cons

They treat the kids that have brain problems or other problems like crap. Just because they can't do the same things as they can. Plus a few of the teachers there actually punched kids and it was the kid that got into trouble.

    Advice to Management

    Help the kids out!

I have been working at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits (though rather expensive) ok location, no weekends (except for occasional trainings) most of staff are nice. Center has good natural light in some classrooms

    Cons

Old, run down building.....needs general maintenance (painting, etc) classroom furniture is old, broken. Little storage in classroom, especially for teachers. Constant shuffling of children/staff.....even infants, leaving teachers unable to do much more than custodial care.

    Advice to Management

Keep shuffling of children to a minimun (especially the under 2s) Keep lead teachers with their groups, not subbing in other classes

I worked at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, not a lot of outside of work prep needed for curriculum.

    Cons

Management can make or break your experience. District manager is awful and terribly inconsistent with expectations. Will ask you to do one thing then come in the next time and tell you that is wrong.

    Advice to Management

Stay consistent with expectations. Don't focus as much on bottom line and make sure directors are not screwing over employees i.e. Changing time cards that don't reflect actual hours worked, cutting breaks etc.

I worked at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Kids, families, wonderful co teachers

    Cons

Terrible management. Control freak boss who flip flopped all the time and won't actually let you do your job.
Belittles and demeans you. Management only enforced protocol when it was convenient for them. Infections were never posted like they're supposed to be and rooms are constantly out of ratio. Oh and favortism, don't forget the favortism.

    Advice to Management

Stop micro managing. Follow rules not just what's convenient for you.

I have been working at Kindercare full-time

    Pros

    Excellent curriculum
Decent entry level wage (if you don't have a degree)
    Guaranteed 40 hours
Fast pace, very few dull moments
    Education benefits are offered

    Cons

    Poor management/scheduling
Once determined that you'll exceed 40 hours, they start forcing manadatory 2 to 3 hour breaks on you
    Revolving door of teachers
    Lack of training

    Advice to Management

Step outside of the office and into a classroom. Maybe then you'll understand our frustration

I have been working at Kindercare full-time

    Pros

I love all my kids! They are so funny and I have grown to care about them and their families very much!

    Cons

My boss! She is always complaining about something that someone does, even though she does the exact same thing!!

    Advice to Management

Don't grill and lecture your employees about something that they need to do better if you yourself are doing the exact same thing.

I have been working at Kindercare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I appreciate working at KinderCare because the children have sunk their lovable claws into my heart. I have marvelous coworkers, and the ability to seek outside babysitting work as well. My full time job offers benefits, paid time off (though never enough for my wandering soul) and my boss is as flexible as she can be with my schedule, while keeping the children and their needs in the forefront of her mind.

    Cons

For the work one does you feel awfully underpaid. At times to make sure the children are well looked after you have mandatory overtime. If you're around the wrong people it can be easier to adapt a negative attitude.

    Advice to Management

Fight for more raises, and feed us at random please.
