I have been working at Kindercare full-time

    Pros

They have a ton of great benefits for their full time employees

    Cons

The continuous training they give you to learn new techniques becomes repetitive and only teaches new company policies.

    Advice to Management

Expand the professional development days to actually develop your employees and not just bring out new company policy and philosophy. New techniques and lessons are helpful for teachers in the classroom.

I have been working at Kindercare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful opportunity to gain grassroot perspective on child development, to discover or mature teaching gifting, to serve families of diverse backgrounds, and to learn from senior leaders.

    Amazing Center Director!!

    Cons

Inadequate professional development/continued education opportunities - need for ongoing training for teachers on classroom management, curriculum design, etc.
    - Teachers could benefit from attending NAEYC workshops/conferences
Need for standardized quality of care and learning

    Advice to Management

To address inadequate professional development/continued education opportunities, and the need for ongoing training for teachers on classroom management, curriculum design, etc:
teachers could benefit from attending NAEYC workshops/conferences or having monthly professional development small groups to discuss topics pertinent to early childhood education

To address the need for standardized quality of care and learning - might you consider forming a collaborative of multidisciplinary professionals committed to quality in early childhood education, including teachers from various centers, to establish and maintain ongoing communication about issues surrounding quality of care and provide a dialogue space to reach timely and necessary resolves.

    Pros

they have a great benefits program and are accomodating with school schedules.

    Cons

You feel overworked and under appreciated. They don't accept valid doctor's notes either. I was 6 months pregnant and I went to the ER twice and I still got written up for attendance, even though I had doctor's notes for both visits.
