I worked at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are very clear about their expectations if you read all the material they give you. All their policies have been planned out.

    Cons

They don't give you very much training. Too many kids in one room for a teacher to be able to give them the attention that they need.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time making it feel like a place kids and staff would like to work at.

I have been working at Kindercare full-time

    Pros

Good interview and sweet talk. Helpful when needed.

    Cons

Bad organizational skills and no proper management of the teachers. No proper channel of communication facilitated between teachers and parents. No care for kids' food needs.

    Advice to Management

Do not give the right to every teacher to boss over the other teachers. Why should one be answerable to every teacher in the center when the management is around? Keep your promises made during the interview. Fresh and healthy food should be given to the kids not frozen and canned food.

I worked at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Only Pro about this job was the children.. they made work bearable.

    Cons

Horrible management.. I was hired as a FULL TIME LEAD teacher by the director that was later fired/let go.. Finding out the credits I had for the position weren't the credits they required. I was then demoted to an aide with a pay cut. After not being able to support myself with the new pay, I put my two weeks notice in.. thanked them for my position which they in turn cut my hours again to 15-20 hours a week.. Cleanliness as well lacked in the building..

    Advice to Management

    Hire better leadership..

I worked at Kindercare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I had training often and I knew I could go to director or assistant director and ask questions if I needed to.

    Cons

It was hard for me to get anwsers to transfer to another location, my pay was not that high for my position and it was hard to move up in positions.

    Advice to Management

Make it easier for someone to transfer to another site and make the pay worth it for the position that someone is in.

I worked at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to request time off, flexible scheduling.

    Cons

No daily schedule makes for chaotic work environment, sick policy is not enforced leading to constant illness for staff, ratios are not maintained, no planning time for teachers making the curriculum just for show, inexperienced staff put a lot of stress on the few experienced teachers.

    Advice to Management

Hire a new director. You will probably see the parent scores increase and things will be less chaotic overall!

I have been working at Kindercare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff. Nothing else is a pro.

    Cons

Pay is too little for the amount of kids we take care of. Currently 11 infants with 2 teachers. Mobile infants should be in a different room. It's REALLY hard and stressful. Especially because we have newborns that we have to watch constantly.

    Advice to Management

    Minimum pay should be $11/hour.
Mobile infants should be in a different room.
