I have been working at Kindful full-time

    Pros

We are small but gaining a lot of momentum, have a great product to offer and are only making it better. Culture is always improving as we continue to grow and find success in the market. Management is transparent and keeps us in the loop of what is going on. Love this company, big things ahead!

    Cons

Only thing I can think of is the accrual of PTO is outdated, especially for a SaaS company like us. Wish all of our time was upfront at the beginning of the year or unlimited like some of our parters/competitors. However they are very flexible if you need to leave early for whatever reason and/or attend to a family matter.

I have been working at Kindful full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you like to come into work and feel like you've made a difference, Kindful is it. Not only does Kindful reward hard work but the gift of helping nonprofits do more good are the intangible benefits you can't measure. Kindful also provides the flexibility I need to support my family.

    Cons

Culture needs some work. The office vibe is a bit cold and need more out of office outings. Outside of that, no complaints!

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Kindful full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

While no company is perfect, Kindful is a great example of what a tech startup can be in Nashville. In my experience, top performers are rewarded, yet everyone's ideas are given a fair hearing. The company is now established and operating on a clear (but flexible) product development process, which helps set expectations and keep business running smoothly. Management is responsive to concerns. Most importantly (in my book), I can say that the work-life balance is fantastic, and everyone I work with is pleasant and fun to be around. It's enjoyable being a part of a company that is going places while also empowering nonprofit customers to make the world a better place.

    Cons

Over the years there have been several different strategies for growing the company, which led to some stress when the business pivoted. Also, historically there was a tendency to chase after the biggest deals, and that produced some technical debt that is still lingering. Communication is sometimes not great, but that has been improving over time.

I have been working at Kindful full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The teams here are awesome. Everyone works hard, and has a good attitude towards play (social hour every Friday at 4). Most people are enjoyable to be around and hang out with. This is also a great place to get your bearings in whatever field you're pursuing. They operate like a startup, so you get the chance to work on A LOT of different things, allowing you to hone your skills where you wouldn't be able to at another job.

    Cons

For my same position, I have researched around town and know I can get paid a minimum of 10k at any other company. On top of that, since the company is so small, there isn't really any room to move up. You just get more responsibility, no compensation, and no upward movement.

I have been working at Kindful full-time for more than a year

    Pros

In a town where healthcare dominates the tech scene, Kindful offers something different: serving the nonprofit market. We have a real opportunity to make a meaningful impact on nonprofits', who in turn positively impact the world, all while working on a growing team that values kindness, open communication and transparency, and respect.

    Cons

If you're looking for a place to blend in, or a place that is relatively predictable and unchanging, then Kindful is not a good fit for you.

I have been working at Kindful full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Company has had some speed bumps in last year, but now seems to be putting the focus in the right areas to make sure they are putting their customers and staff in a position to succeed. I’m excited to see what 2018 holds for Kindful

    Cons

It’s a startup so many employees have to wear many hats. I could see where this might be frustrating to some people. For me it’s rewarding to get to be involved in more than one thing.

    I worked at Kindful full-time

    Pros

Small company...able to talk with key leaders

    Cons

No clear understanding or direction that leads to success. COMPLETELY change direction after a few weeks to try a completely different approach with different people. Stay away.
