    Pros

Great benefits, great work/life balance, great pay. Lots of opportunity. Kindred is ranked the 10th best place to work in the state for a reason, and if you're in IS it might be the best overall.

    Cons

Downtown, young company doesn't have as much stability.

    Advice to Management

    Keep innovating.

    Pros

Great benefits package, opportunity to advance, tuition reimbursement program, many resources for employees. They have the employees fill out employee satisfaction surveys every year and they review them to see if they can improve on things. The corporate nurses are always seen in the buildings checking on things.

    Cons

It is difficult to work in a for profit facility because it sometimes seems that it is all about money and not about taking good care of people, but the administrators are good about helping the facility succeed in both areas.

    Advice to Management

More communication about internal problems would be great.

    Pros

I am very fortunate to work for a IS group that is very professional and intelligent. Most individuals that seek out professional development will receive it. When I describe this place to others outside of Kindred, they cannot believe how much I love it here. I always receive nothing but the up most respect and encourageme

    Cons

Not much room for advancement since indivduals stay here for over 10 years. This company may change drastically with some of the "C" suite sunsetting soon?

    Advice to Management

"C" suite and upper mgt. encourage others within to develop themselves to be your replacement.

    Pros

Good compensation/wages: good, strong senior management that is focused on the business: internal advancement opportunities both within and across teams.

    Cons

Health benefit package is standard at best. Some team performance requirements are stressful on personal life. As a growth company, staffing increases don't come as fast as the work load.

    Advice to Management

Work harder at rewarding employees. If employees are your strength, do things to prove that philosophy. There are little things that can be done to make work a fun place to be. If you are having fun, you don't notice how hard you are working.

    Pros

Kindred's commitment to performance improvement and customer satisfaction. The fosters a culture that produces quality thus making Kindred the industry leader.

    Cons

The obstacles that Medicare reform continue to present. This forces the company to have their employees continue to change with the times. Although difficult, it continues to drive the quality staff to be exceptional.

    Advice to Management

Kindred has become a great company because it has remained focused on what is important, which is quality care. Through all the challenges that have presented over the last few years, Kindred remains a leader because it has kept that focus.
