I worked at King Soopers full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Full time work is available Small discount on Kroger brand products

    Cons

Schedule is all over the place Twenty-something managers think snapping at you is leadership Some employees refuse to do their share of the dirty word and it's easier for managers to just ask the employees who aren't avoiding these tasks rather than enforcing a fair schedule

    Advice to Management

Start caring about your employees and your work force shortage would improve.

I have been working at King Soopers full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Management was always fair and understanding. Hours were flexible. Good work/life balance. Pay was fair for work done. Employee culture was fun and exciting.

    Cons

No real career path to follow unless you plan on staying with King Soopers or customer service. Other benefits outside of pay were vague and some are not available until you have spent a few years with the company. Occasional difficulty scheduling.

I have been working at King Soopers part-time for more than a year

        Pros

Co-workers are generally nice and fun to be around.

        Cons

Pay is average to below average to start and will take up to 4 or 5 years to become decent based on the current pay scale. Union membership is mandatory but doesn't seem to offer any actual benefits yet they deduct close to $25 from each check (lower once intiation is paid off). The returns policy of this company is rediculous, every week 5-8 people who are clearly shoplifting come through the service desk with $15 returns...

        Advice to Management

        Ditch your rediculous return policy.

I have been working at King Soopers part-time for more than 3 years

        Pros

Good wages, steady hours for the most part, ok customers and amazing coworkers. Good benefits, you get healthcare and a 401k. You get raises ever 1040 hours, so basically every six months.

        Cons

Managers don't have any consideration for their associates. You never get to leave on time, but they don't schedule your hours. You pull 40 hours just by them making you stay. You can't have a life outside of work, and they don't care if you do.

        Advice to Management

CONSIDERATION to employees is so unbelievably the key. That's how you make your business better. Happier employees means happier customers, and more money. And that's all you care about, right?
