I have been working at King Soopers part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Movement through the company can be quick and easy. And they offer great benefits usually. It's hard, however, when management is slow.

    Cons

Movement through the company is difficult when management is lax. My experience has been difficult because of the slow movement for management to promote or move people through.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees for all the work that they do.

      Pros

decent pay for management, work with schooling for schedules

      Cons

totally inhumane treatment for those who are sick. disregard for food safety despite any level of sickness, all in pursuit of total staffing. refusal to just hire to needs to accommodate for natural and expected sick days.

I worked at King Soopers full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Co-workers, benefits, the freezer was cold, good cupcakes

      Cons

Working for narcissistic - burnout -lying - unprofessional managers. Stupid-anti trusting-micro managing Corp Managers. Feed the human spirit...garbage. King Soopers is going to die a slow death thanks to horrible leadership.

      Advice to Management

Keep it up. I will enjoy seeing your downward spiral.

      No opinion of CEO

I worked at King Soopers full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Almost $20 an hour; union; very hard to get fired

      Cons

Work anywhere from 8am to 12am multiple times a week; store managers can be cool or they can be terrible; schedule comes out 2 days before the next work week so planning things outside of work is hard.

I have been working at King Soopers full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

The management has changed a lot over the years, the co workers are great, and if you demonstrate a track record of high performance it's very easy to go far! The pay is fantastic compared to other retail stores, and they provide healthcare.

      Cons

Hour flexibility can be difficult in key positions. Union bargaining can be a stressful time, and a lot of rumours circulate. In lower paying positions as a part time worker dues can consume a large portion of your take home pay.

      Advice to Management

Healthcare is one of the best programs you offer, the district leadership is very good at what they do and constantly provides positive support to the stores.
