I worked at King Soopers full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good retirement package and insurance. Good raises. Good starting pay and top out hourly wage is good. There are alot of good people who work there and you meet alot of awesome customers. There is ample opportunity for advacement.

    Cons

They need better training in all departments to have better employees. There are a few good managers that work and engage in thier employees. Employees and managers dont get the face to face encouragements they need. Sometimes they tend to bring up your faults instead of your hard work.

    Advice to Management

Need to have better managers that engage positively.

I have been working at King Soopers part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good wages, steady hours for the most part, ok customers and amazing coworkers. Good benefits, you get healthcare and a 401k. You get raises ever 1040 hours, so basically every six months.

    Cons

Managers don't have any consideration for their associates. You never get to leave on time, but they don't schedule your hours. You pull 40 hours just by them making you stay. You can't have a life outside of work, and they don't care if you do.

    Advice to Management

CONSIDERATION to employees is so unbelievably the key. That's how you make your business better. Happier employees means happier customers, and more money. And that's all you care about, right?

I worked at King Soopers part-time

    Pros

Work team typically feel like family. Get paid weekly.

    Cons

Upper management does nothing to help bottom level employee issues. Understaffed. People leave left and right because this company treats them like garbage. Union can't do anything to help. Dept heads do whatever they can to push good employees out after an availability change, since they can't just fire them at a union store. It's all business, they don't care about employees. They do whatever they can to promote male employees but string along female employees until they quit. They lie about promotions. They keep college kids because their schedules are a little more open, but make people who have children quit because they can't find/afford a sitter on their joke of a pay scale. You do WAY more work than what you're paid for.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and assistant managers. Do not try to rid yourself of good employees just because their schedules aren't what you want. Be straight up and don't keep people you don't like for the holidays just to make their lives a living hell later so they quit.
