I worked at King Soopers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great promotions and benefits.

    Cons

Co Workers compete with each other and scheduling was bad.

    Advice to Management

If you show up and work hard they will notice and reward you. I learned a lot from this job and would love to come back. The only down side was the work schedule was not consistent and your hours will be all over the place.

    Pros

Good Benefits. Most employees are nice

    Cons

You get bullied by upper Management . Turn over rate is at 80%. Almost everybody in lower Management have break downs. They don’t take care of the employees. I would not recommend King Soopers

    Advice to Management

Treat Employees with respect and you wouldn’t have 80% turn over rate

    Pros

Weekly paycheck. 10% Employee Discount on company brands
    Kroger
    Private Selections
    Pssst
    etc
In store Starbucks gives us 10% discount and my nearby subway too.

    Cons

Pay is not good. i never get the days off i request. when i have a high fever they make you come in.
We have to work holidays but we new employees don’t get payed time and a half :(

    Advice to Management

They need to care for the employees. If you don’t do anything about it. It’s no wonder everyone is quitting.
They should back us up when customers are yelling at you and we cant really defend ourselves.

I have been working at King Soopers part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work at King Soopers click list, and I've been there for over a year. It is an okay place to work not the best, and not the worst by any stretch of the imagination it's just okay the first pro I have about King Soopers the coworkers are great for the most part. Working with customers and communicating with other people and listening to other people's stories is fulfilling.

    Cons

But the cons to the company is poor management from the supervisors from many departments. You you're giving a very bad pay scale you get a raise based off the hours you work in total after a year you get a $0.30 pay raise that is not a lot. Second you get overworked very often you'll be given several 40 hour weeks or more but, you're given no opportunity for full-time and the clicklist department. The company also hires any random person off the streets Without Really interviewing them at all they really have to do is pass a drug test and not lie on their application.

    Advice to Management

Actually interview the people you hire.

I have been working at King Soopers part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you do not mind the everyday BS of not having the help it is ok to work for.

    Cons

Never any help as far as baggers and cashiers and other areas of the store are short handed. Customers have to bag their own groceries all the time. Always getting breaks and lunches late or not at all half of the time. Head clerks are almost always on registers or not at all running the front end like they should

I have been working at King Soopers part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Moving up and around departments is attainable. Vacation time and raises are available after a certain period of time. The union is there when you need them.

    Cons

Little training. At time I wasn't sure what was expected of me. Team work is lacking. It's pretty much "every man for himself." Hours and shift requests are based on seniority, so if you need a day off for personal time, it can be hard to get when just starting out.

    Advice to Management

Encourage more team work between associates. There is a lot of gossip behind people's backs.

    Cons

None everyone was nice and pleasant.

    Advice to Management

Don't move managers around because it's difficult to know the expectations.

    Pros

10% employee discount, caring and patient supervisors, kind coworkers, very helpful people, gives 20+ hours per week guaranteed, union workplace

    Cons

Scheduling not always flexible, training could be improved, customers can be annoying, but mostly a good place to work, especially for a first job
